Perfect Day in Dubrovnik! - This was a wonderful day trip! Our driver Antonio was so friendly and we enjoyed chatting with him on the drive. We stopped for coffee on the way in a lovely town and the drive to Dubrovnik is absolutely beautiful. The local guide in Dubrovnik was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the tour with her. Afterwards there was plenty of time to explore Dubrovnik on our own. The drive home was pleasant as well and we stopped along the way at a gorgeous roadside stop with a scenic overlook and had a lovely glass of wine. Would recommend this trip to anyone!

Tony, our driver, was... - Tony, our driver, was awesome. I really enjoyed learning about tge area from him. Also, in the (tiny) town itself, Sylvia was very helpful. Dubrovnik is a must-see if you are interested in history. Like anything not built recently, it does not have a lot of wheelchair or baby stroller access. For the like of me, I don't know why anyone would wheel a stroller around with a baby there. I felt sorry for those overheated, tired babies and toddlers.

A long but enjoyable day - Took this tour from Split with South Tours, booked through “Get your guide”. The initial day we had booked for had rain forecast, but it was really easy to change the day of the tour online, with no cancellation charge. It’s a 3 hour drive to Dubrovnik, but there are comfort stops, including a short break in the town of Ston - a place we were unaware of, but has superbly preserved fortified walls which apparently are second in length only to the Great Wall of China, and was part of the Republic of Ragusa in medieval Europe along with Dubrovnik. The drive no longer requires travelling into Bosnia due to the newly built bridge (so no passport required). Dubrovnik itself was fantastic, and it is a shame time only allows for a few quick activities as there is a lot to see. The guided walking tour was excellent, giving lots of information on the history of the town and its various buildings - it takes approx an hour and a half. We then had time to grab a bite to eat and decided to take a look at a few GOT filming sites plus the Wall walk, which was fantastic for views of the city. It is fairly steeply priced at 35 euros per person, but still worth it. The trip back involves a stop off for wine tasting before arriving back in Split at around 8.30pm. A long day but gives a good taster of Dubrovnik - somewhere we will likely now return to for a longer stay in the future.

Enjoyable but not quite long enough - Great day out and our driver, Ivan, made our long coach journey enjoyable. Our guide was informative and friendly. Only negative comment is that we didn’t have enough free time to enjoy and explore Dubrovnik and an extra hour or two was needed.

Beautiful setting but too short as a day trip - Stopping at the service area for a glass of wine and a fabulous view This is a long trip but I have to. say the driver Antonio was. brilliant. He was prompt and helpful and worked hard to keep us on time despite the traffic. The guide was very pleasant but I did not feel I learned much about the history of the place. It was more focussed on the best viewpoints for photos or the best place to eat and how much it cost to get into the sights (an awful lot! How can they justify 36 euros to climb up onto the walls and walk along them I don't know) The time we had there made that impossible anyway. The guided tour felt rushed and it is probably too much for a day trip
