- Plitvice Lakes National Park - Our comfortable, mini-van or bus will pick you up at the meeting point and head up through the countryside towards, Plitvice Lakes. The unity and harmony of 16 lakes and their rare natural and cultural value is not famous only throughout Croatia, but also worldwide; earning this remarkable national park a coveted place on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage sites.
Arriving to Plitvice, we’ll walk through these ancient woodlands led by our experienced guide. The path takes us first across Gornja Jezera, a system of 12 lakes separated by travertine barriers. Then it’s time for a peaceful boat ride towards the second area called Donja Jezera, placed in a limestone canyon. After the sightseeing, we will make a stop for lunch (not included in price) and make our way back to the initial point where our journey started.

- Depending on the weather conditions some parts of the park may be restricted
- Here are few items you may need to make your time on the excursion the best of all: closed comfortable shoes (sneakers), sportswear, In case of rain raincoat or an umbrella. After summer time we recommend to bring also a warm sweater or jacket.

Amazing views and great tour leader - Ivanka was a terrific tour leader – lots of energy and full of information and good trip tips for not just this but other parts of Croatia. The lakes are definitely a must see – amazing highlights.

Perfect Day Tour - Quite literally the best day tour I’ve taken. Ivanka, our tour guide, was absolutely splendid, knowledgeable, passionate, and gave me so much incredible information about Croatia and more. Highly recommend this. Also, wear comfy shoes and be prepared with snacks and you are good to go!

Great and excellent guide! - Mate made us discover this incredible place! It's really an excursion to do, it's sublime! The term "small group" is not representative because it is still an entire bus... Mate was amazing and managed this great group with ease. He took care of our safety while leaving us freedom. Mate is the best guide I've had in Croatia. Thank you!

Amazing private tour of Plitvice Lakes. - We actually did a private tour with Mario. He picked us up from our VRBO and drove us to Plitvice Lakes and back. He gave us a lot of information about Croatia during the drive and while at the park, he gave us a guided tour. Because Mario was so familiar with Plitvice, he was able to navigate us around the large bus groups.
My husband and I had an amazing, relaxing day and I would recommend Mario and Portal Travel Agency to anyone.

Spectacular and stunning! - This trip is a must. The park is stunning. Walk along a wooden boardwalk through miles of forest replete with waterfalls and stunning turquoise lakes. Mia was a great guide for the park and made the bus trip from Split go by quickly with stories, history and humor. Finally, Mia’s suggestions when we stopped for a late lunch were perfect.

Wonderful Park Visit - The beauty of this park was spectacular. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and hydrate because the hiking is hilly. The park was crowded on our visit. Be prepared to be patient when trying to get pictures of the lakes and waterfalls. Our guide, Mate, was friendly, informative and interested in making our visit enjoyable.

Great trip but better time management - The park and lakes were gorgeous and we enjoyed the walks and the guide Ivanka was wonderful. Our only issue was how the timing of the tour was organized. We made it to the park a bit late closer to 11 am. At 1:30 to 2 pm we stopped in the park but only for a coffee when it would have been better to have had lunch then. It was only after the tour was done at 3:30 that we left to stop at a restaurant for lunch and we stayed there till nearly 5 pm. We returned to Split only around 8 pm after making another stop on the way back for bathroom break. It would have been better to eliminate the extra stop for lunch so we could have come back to Split earlier.

Disappointing organization. - The excursion very nice but heavy, because they are 4h trip to the park, and 4h to return to Split. Ourbguia Igor has passed people Olympicly, has only left without waiting for people to take pictures, weaving 1ue there were older people only for where they are interested and have commission and to top it off they make you reproaches for only ordering a beer.
Bad and self-serving organization.
