Plastovo - First stop of our tour is village Plastovo near city of Skradin where you will visit small and authentic winery with 500 years long tradition. Also, you will be able to taste his homemade products for lunch as prosciutto, pancetta, 2 sorts of cheese, extra virgin olive oil, tomatoes, olives etc. In addition to wine and olive oil, he also produces liqueurs from various types of fruit that grow in the area. We begin our journey in a quaint village near Skradin. Here lies a modest winery, elapsing five centuries in its wine-making legacy. You will meet a vintner, the 9th in his familial lineage, and have the opportunity to savor three distinct wines rooted in indigenous grape varieties. Also included in this sensory experience are his homemade delights such as prosciutto, an assortment of cheeses, and olive oil.
Next, we journey to Kaštela, a town close to Split, recognized as the original home of iconic Zinfandel vineyards. Awaiting our arrival is Ivan, a youthful vintner who has taken over his father’s operation. He will introduce you to his excellent wines, rooted in native grape types. Here, you’ll have the pleasure of tasting the Croatian rendition of Zinfandel - Crljenjak. Additionally, you’ll be treated to local marine fare such as an octopus salad and anchovies prepared in olive oil.
