Awesome experience - The travel agency coordinator did an excellent job in curating this experience. Both the driver and guide were excellent in giving us the experience of a lifetime. Highly recommended

Amazing national park, a must see! - We booked a private Plitvice National Park tour from Split from Pelican Tour. The booking process was easy, you pick the tour, the date, and you pay right there on the website with credit card. There can be a maximum of 8 people in your group for private tour in one car, and the price is very reasonable and even comparable to if you joined group tours, depending on how many people you have. The driver, Bojan, contacted us the day before to confirm pickup location and time. On the day of the tour he showed up on time and he was friendly and professional. It took less than 4 hours to arrive Plitvice and the car ride was clean and comfortable. Make sure you break for restroom before getting out of the freeway, when there are still resting areas. It was difficult finding one near the park, and there’s long lines for restrooms at the park. We met our guide at park entrance, where we also purchased tickets. To our pleasant surprise we could pay by credit card for the tickets; the website said cash only. Our tour guide Nikolai (sorry if I misspelled) accompanied us for the tour and he was very friendly and knowledgeable, also great at taking pictures. He discussed with us on the route we will be taking and if we are interested to do certain trails. It worked out well and of course the park was magnificent especially with fall colors. The park is a must see if you are in Croatia. We also had a little time for lunch right inside the park before continuing on. The walk is not difficult and at our own pace. It was relaxing and we didn’t feel rushed. Make sure to let your guide know if there are certain place you want to see early on so he can plan it. There was this signature view you see on many postcards we wanted to see but it wasn’t on the route we were on, and it was too late when we realized it. The route he took us on was still amazing and he felt it was a better way to see the park. After four hours we were taken back to our driver; there were quite a bit of stairs going up in this last walk to exit. We arrived our hotel round 6pm. The park was so beautiful and ideally we would want to spend more time, but we feel four hours walk is just the right amount of time for people like us who are not especially sporty. Overall a great company and great tour if you have to visit Plitvice from Split.

Beautiful piece of Nature - The tour itself was very well run with a great guide who was both personable and informative. The long day was worth the trip, the lakes and National park are truly beautiful. Many many tourists though and a bit disappointing that so may people are filling the paths with you as you walk around as this takes away some of the calm peaceful feeling this place could have.

Beautiful lakes - Comfortable trip in a private minivan for 2 families. Met by a guide who was informative and funny- leisurely pace, did not feel like we were bombarded with information. We had 6 children with us, mostly teenagers- not bored!

Great private tour to Plitvice! - My husband and I took Pelican's private tour from Split to Plitvice Lakes and had a fantastic time. They picked us up at our hotel, and our friendly driver Angelo provided a safe and pleasant ride, pointing out interesting sights and sharing tidbits about Croatia along the way. Once we got to the park we met our guide, Mario, who was also excellent and had a wealth of knowledge about the park. He gave us a couple of different options of routes we could  take, and he knew how to avoid trails that might have bad conditions given recent rains. The park itself was stunning, and Mario helped us get some great pics throughout. We really loved the small size of the private tour, it was much more manageable and enjoyable to navigate the park as a small group compared to the giant bus tour groups we saw throughout the park. We weren't sure whether we should do the day trip to Plitvice from Split since it is a bit of a drive...but the park is so beautiful it really is a must see, and with Pelican tours all of the logistics were taken care of making the trip super easy. Highly recommend!

Sight seeing - This tour was more than advertised with a full day of sites and activities. My wife and I came across this tour while on our honeymoon and we just wanted to see the waterfalls in the National Park but we also got to explore a beautiful small port city. Then we got access to the National Park were we saw all the beautiful sites and even got to swim at the base of the waterfalls, and ended the day off with a delicious wine tasting at a small/local family owned winery. The tour guild was funny, personable, and very knowledgeable of the sites and Croatian history. Highly recommend this tour, great price for what you get.

Plitvice - An incredible place that you just have to visit! Sadly the weather wasn't the best but nothing that could be done about that! Rain coats were provided on arrival to the park, which was very much appreciated. Barry our guide was very knowledgeable and couldn't do enough for us, be it a picture or talking us though the lunch options.

Nice park but crowdy - We have taken the round trip option from Split on the same day. Driver was good but the van could have been more confortable for a more than 6 hours drive. The guide in the park was good. The Plitvice park is a nice park but too crowdy during summer with long queues just for a photo or food. Best is to come very early or late in the afternoon.

OK day - Overall a good day, though a few little hiccups. I know the company has no control over the weather, but the rain did colour our day a bit unfortunately. Krka is much closer, and both my friend and I thought it might even have been better! The group was split into two mini vans, with the guide in the other one. Some of the others said he explained some things on the way which we missed. We stopped at a servo for over half an hour on the way. I believe the guide was also quite new, and it showed. He didn't really have much to tell us. His guiding was more to keep us together and see the best bits in the limited time. But with the crowds and the group being quite large, we moved so slowly that I feel we could have seen a lot more of allowed to explore freely. In summary, good to have shuttle to get there, but guiding wasn't really necessary. And be aware it's 3-4hrs in the bus each way from split. Perhaps check out krka instead /as well
