Family trip to Split/Trogir - We really enjoyed the tour. We started first in Trogir to avoid the morning crowd in Split and some of the traffic. Trogir was definitely worth the short drive—pretty city. We had free time to grab a gelato and shop before heading to Split. We all enjoyed learning about the history of Split and what we were seeing. Our family of 5 (including 3 kids ages 17-25) would recommend the combo tour versus just the Split tour. The private tour was much easier with the narrow streets.

Great tour of Split and Trogir - We enjoyed our tour, which was guided by Karla. She was extremely caring on this super hot day, very knowledgeable about the history and story of each city, and was able to answer everyone’s questions. Would definitely recommend!

2 tours in one - The morning tour of Split was great. It was very informative. The Trogir tour, with a different guide, was informative but we had too much free time.

Fun but exhausting - Our tour guide Carla was very good and knowledgeable, and made sure that everyone in the tour could hear what she was saying. Our only negative was that it was really too long to spend 2 hours+ in split then bus to Trogir and spend another hour+ walking in Trogir in the heat before finally having free time at 2pm in Trogir to get something to eat and drink at the end of the tours. Time for food and drink should be after split and before walking through Trogir.

Honest Company? - We had originally booked this tour with a different company but they unexpectedly cancelled, with no explanation, a few days before our holiday so I booked this one instead. We arrived at the meeting point on time to be informed that the Trogir secton of the tour - the main reason for booking - was not going to happen because the driver had called in sick one hour previously. We would get a full refund and if we wished could do the Split walking tour free of charge. We declined the walking tour but on the face of it a good offer. However, of the 30 or so people on the walking tour I didn't hear too many others being informed about Trogir being dropped so the cynic in me makes me wonder if the company realised they could do additional 2hr walking tours with large groups (it was a very busy day - at least 20 guided groups in the morning) rather than taking a small group to Trogir in a 3 hour round trip. Given the original company also cancelled I wondered if they realised the same. I was also surprised there was not a reserve driver in place. I did receive the full refund without any prompting on my part. Bottom line is I don't know if we were told the real reason for the cancellation or not, and as I don't wish to damage their ratings on suspicion alone I rated four stars even though we didnt take the tour.

Great tour guide; a little less included than expected though - So to be fair, our family bailed on the Trogir part of this tour. It was extremely hot and we had lost a day on the ship for a bad Royal Caribbean excursion to Kotor, Montenegro (from the Port of Bar) the day prior, so we cannot reasonably rate this part of the excursion. We were told it's a nice town, but at that point of the trip (last stop), we wanted to enjoy the ship and we had already paid for this tour. It was a last-second decision. As far as the Split tour of Diocletian's Palace, the tour guide was excellent! He was passionate about the history of the site and the city, and was funny as well. As a family, we actually thought that admission into the other part of the dungeons of the palace were included since the site said that a tour of the palace was included (this part was not included and required separate tickets outside of this tour). Therefore, we did not see everything we wanted to see with this tour, but again, the tour guide was great. From what I understand, Split is actually nicer than Trogir, so I would just go with the Split tour and give yourself an extra hour or two on the ship or walking through Split if the weather is a bit cooler than we went!
