Highly recommended as we learnt so much in 2.5 hours - Toni is systematic in presenting the facts of Diocletian Palace, weaving it smoothly into the tour as we walked through the grounds. He gave us a history tour from 305 AD with his 3D CadCam pictures of the palace would have looked like, how in 7th Century Salona (capital of western roman empire) fall to the Slavs and the romans retreated into Diocletian Palace. We also enjoyed learning of how the land was ruled by venice, austria thus translating to blend of food from italy and german upto today. How Zagreb Splits Dubrovnik are different due to its occupied histories of Austrians, Venice and Greeks. How the fight against Ottaman pushing back the turks from the north and coast led to the shape of Croatia. Its a must do tour

Highlight of the Trip! - If I could leave more stars, I would. Toni is an absolute delight, and a true master of his craft. He shared insights and reflections that deepened our love of this beautiful city and its rich, layered history. Nowhere else is quite like Split, where history is both past and present, and we are part of continuing the story. We had already been here a few days and explored the Palace, which really benefitted us as we were already familiar with the layout so we were able to focus on the intricacies and details of the experience. Toni provided us a private tour, as no one else had booked, so we got to have thorough conversations and ask questions. We feel like the luckiest travelers to Split. I can't say enough about Toni and this tour. It was absolutely the highlight of our trip.

Highly Recommend - Very interesting walking tour of Diocletian Palance with the guide and elaboration of the "Magister". It was absolutely fantastic to see how the Palace was not protected or separated from the public for better maintenance or observation. Instead, residents are living inside, and restaurants and shops are growing inside, demonstrating the continuition of life in the Palace.

One of the best walking tours I have ever done - TLDR; TAKE THIS TOUR! I’ll start this review to say I have done walking tours all over the world, and I have to say this was one of the best. Toni was a master of his craft and had detailed answers to every question. The palace itself is one of the most impressive ancient ruins in the world and this is definitely the best way to learn about it. Toni even built digital reconstructions of the palace to show us what it looked like in ancient times. He also recommended other things to do and restaurants to eat at in the palace.

What a historian Toni is! Book him - I was the only person on my date/time booked so it became a private tour. I can’t recommend Toni enough. He is pleasant, full of knowledge and kind. He took pictures for me as I was solo and even deviated from the usual route so I could get gelato…the best in Split!Toni is also a Split native so it is great to support the local residents of such a gorgeous place. Don’t hesitate to book him.
