• Bagni Kon Tiki - The adventure begins with a briefing on sea safety, appropriate behaviors within a protected marine area, and the citizen science protocol to follow. We set off from Spotorno beach in kayaks, paddling towards Bergeggi island, a small limestone cone covered in Mediterranean scrub, just 250 meters from the coast. This island is home to a diverse range of terrestrial-maritime flora, including some species unique to Liguria.

From the island, the journey continues along the area’s cliffs, small inlets, and caves. With a mask and snorkel, you can explore the coral seabed and Posidonia oceanica meadows while snorkeling.

Explore the biodiversity of the marine protected area of Bergeggi Island with a kayaking and snorkeling experience and immerse yourself in an environmental monitoring activity. A local hiking guide will guide you to discover the natural wonders and the historical and archaeological remains hidden in this place.

During the journey to the island the monitoring activity begins: the guide gives the participants the tablets on which the species observed will be indicated. We will observe the rock in search of the main species of algae to understand the ecological quality of the coast, and we will sharpen our eyes to identify and count the two main species of sea urchins, essential engineers of our ecosystem.
