I saw a gosht - I love our tour guide. Her jokes and the castle itself was a great experience. The architecture and history together with the stories made me feel the moment of being surrounded by spirits.

Family fun - We had a great time. Lots of fun with the family. Lots of laughs and jumps. Surprised our kids and they were great sports about it.

Fun night in a castle - It was a fun experience. Although we didn't have a ghostly encounter the tour guide was able to experience some of her photos and evps that have been captured over the years.

The Face - Our guide was excellent. Very informative as well as speaking with a couple of the ghosts. The attached pics , when blown up seem to show a face.

Fascinating Castle - All of our tour & experience was good, we didn't see or feel any ghosts, but maybe we will next time, definitely believe it's haunted! Have always loved the Castle & it's history! We will be repeat visitors in the future. Both tour guides were AWESOME!!! Thank you for everything !

I would do it again - Really enjoyed the tour,, maybe a little less crowded ,, overall really enjoyed it and the atmosphere was,, loved our tour guide she was amazing and funny and kept it going

Hot and hokey - It was so hot inside the castle! Even the basement was hot, stifling. Our tour guide, Tiff, was too wordy. When she used the dousing rods in the basement, I had to leave the room because I was thoroughly disgusted; she was clearly manipulating the rods. I wish the tour was more authentic and not so hokey. The castle is huge and it seemed like tourists had very limited access. And the “I cu die” blocks in Peteys room? Come on! I get that it was a “ghost” tour, but going into the basement, the stairway down was so dark, it was hazardous. Peteys room was too dark also. I enjoyed the history part, but that’s about it.

Ok experience - The tour guide was full of information and very excited, however the group was just way too big. It had over 20 people in one group, where when we started it looked like it was going to be 3 smaller groups and then it changed. I think it would have been a better experience if the group size was smaller.

Don’t waste your time - We went in with an open mind, as this was the first ghost tour we’ve ever been on. Our host was a young girl who told “encounter” stories that are 100% fabricated. The thing that tipped me over the edge the most was when she took us into the “food storage room” and told us that the rods she held were controlled by the ghosts. She then proceeded to ask questions to the spirits for 10 minutes in this dinky room with about 20 of us in there while she very clearly was using her hands/arms to move the rods. I could see the disappointment on nearly every adults face as the guide played with these rods, although the children loved it and soaked it all in-Good for those kids, though! The whole thing felt very cheesy especially with the Halloween decor they have put up inside. And although the guide told us the castle had ghosts roaming and sometimes you can smell them, it all just smelled like…an old building. It was incredibly hot in the whole castle too. The whole tour was a big disappointment. I would not recommend.

First 1 star review I’ve ever left (regretfully) - We visit multiple tours a year throughout the country. - It’s a pretty castle, but not worth the tour you get. We take multiple ghost tours throughout the year, all over the country, and this is the first 1 star review I’ve ever left. With respect to the staff - I learned most of the history through YouTube, and they were far more interesting and lively than our guide. Half the tour is just listening to audio they’ve caught (that you can barely understand), or showing pictures of sightings that you can look on google. We wanted to hear more of the history and hear stories of people who lived there. Oh, and a 5 minute video they show you, but you can barely understand the audio - it’s muffled and incredibly hard to follow. Easily fixed by using closed captions. The random skeletons throughout the castle are just hokey and the Creature from the Black Lagoon guy is just confusing … even if it’s supposed to be funny, it doesn’t make sense - None of the storytelling made sense with the Halloween-ish theme 🫤 Save your money. Watch some of the YouTube videos. They are pretty good and provide much more information. The ladies seem nice. And I feel bad for this terrible review, but it was just terrible.
