Exception First Time Safari with Su from Janaka Safaris! - We were a group of 3 women and we had the most fantastic experience with Su, our guide, from Janaka Safaris. Everything is so smooth from collection to drop off. Not only do you experience the beauty of Yala but you’re provided with all refreshments, a delicious breakfast, lunch on the shore at the most wonderful location and the whole experience is just fantastic from start to finish. Despite being a long day I highly recommend the full day safari. We saw 4 leopards, elephants, monkeys, crocodiles, snakes and so much more. Most importantly we have to thank Su who was our guide and driver - he was so easy to talk to and understood the animals movements and sounds which was hugely beneficial to sightings animals in the most natural way without interfering with them. Just epic and we wish to return one day!

AMAZING - We did the full-day safari with Ish Apart from speaking perfectly English, he explained everything perfectly and did his best to get the first ones into the park and thus have more chance to see the leopard. Also, I was very aware of how we were at all times and was very smiling We saw the leopard super close and we were very lucky but it was thanks to him.I would repeat with him without doubt

Long live Ish - Our safari day from 5am till 6pm was extremely busy thanks to our driver Ish. Ish was able to listen throughout the day when we had questions and to inform us about all the animals and their specificities (such as:"Asian elephants different from Africa why?"; Life rhythms and animal nutrition", etc.) Ish knew how to drive us to the right spots to see all the animals in one day. Ish managed the different meals (breakfast and lunch), beware of spices for those who are not informed or not yet used to it. But this is local food, and homemade. The driver of your day in Yala national park must be Ish for a good time with friends, family or business trip. Excellent Trip Tip and managing your day, it has good friends.

A dream day! - This Safari day in Yala Park was memorable and phenomenal! Especially thanks to our driver Ish who is really the best of all! Super friendly and with an unrivalled knowledge of animals and the park, he knew how to make safari a dream fulfilled. Ish managed all day to get us to the right place at the right time to see all the different animals possible in the park. Even leopards! Thanks to his responsiveness and professionalism we were always able to be first on the scene. We’ve seen elephants, leopards, bears, lizards, varans, crocodiles, birds, peacocks, warthogs, buffaloes, and much more! I highly recommend the whole day, as it really allows to see a lot that varies a lot between morning and afternoon. And above all, ask Ish!

Amazing Safari with Su - My sister, father and I went on the full day Safari with Janaka Safari Jeep Tours. Our driver Su was so professional and knew so much about the animals and the park. He is a great storyteller with a good sense of humor. We all felt very secure and comfortable. It was an amazing experience and Su managed to get us to see a leopard, sloth bear, lots of elephants and buffalos as well as plenty other animals. The park was beautiful especially in the early evening. We could not be happier with the safari and are so happy that we had Su showing us all the beauty of the park. Thank you Su:)

Amazing full day safari with safari guide Su:) - It’s was an amazing experience. Our driver Su, was super attentive and knowledgeable. He was able to show us the Leopard, Sloth bear, elephant and basically all the animals you can see in Yala national park:))) I would highly recommend this full day safari experience. The breakfast and lunch was simple and delicious:))

An excursion to repeat - We had the best guide in the park!!! Su was there all day long looking forward to our full enjoyment. In addition, we very much appreciated your sincerity from the beginning, as you explain the situation of the park at that time. The day was wonderful!! We saw all kinds of animals, elephant families, crocodiles, two leopards... I would recommend to everyone this excursion and more if it is with Su!!!

Just wonderful!!! - Su is probably the best driver among all these jeeps. He has his own way to track animals which we didn’t follow the majority of jeeps, and saw a lot of animals as the first one. We had a wonderful, probably only once in a lifetime experience. Su is very professional and has very good knowledge with all the animals and everything. You can feel his enthusiasm as he loves his job very much. We managed to see a leopard and tons of other animals. I never expected to have such an amazing experience since I did the inclusive 3h safari from hotel which nearly saw nothing much the day before. Thank you so much for everything, Su, we will definitely come back to take another safari if we visit Sri Lanka again!!!

Such a special and unique experience. - Amazing trip. Su really looked after us, we had a lot of fun, learnt a lot and most importantly saw so many animals up close. You can tell he really cares about the park which made our experience even more personal and worthwhile. Most of our encounters it was just us which made it even more special and such a unique experience - he knows all the best spots for a surprise elephant encounter! The meals and snacks were also a really nice touch there was so much variety available so everyone was guaranteed to have plenty of choice regardless of food preferences. Su made this day so special for us so want to say a massive thank you!!

Lifetime experience but be cautious of who you book with - A great lifetime experience, we were able to see the big 3. Well worth doing the full day as it gives you time to go searching but be prepared it is a long day. Su our driver had 23 years of experience and it showed we went on different paths away from the other jeeps (at times there can be 70 jeeps in one location). Su talked to us about the whole park not just leopard chasing like the other providers A word to the wise make sure you get an experienced driver like Su as many other companies hire young drivers who drive like maniacs, worse than that at lunch a few of them where smoking weed. Other companies may be cheaper but you will get what you pay for.
