Janaka Safari: Special Leopold Safari - with IG - We where picked Up at 4:30 am at the hotel, exactly as promised. Our guide IG was really nice. He could answer every question we had you saw that he really cares about the park and his animals.
We even were lucky enough to spot a Leopard - although form afar. :)
And lots of elephants. Some of them walked straight past our car.
I can absolutely recommend this Safari and our guide. :)

Amazing leopard safari 🥰 - We did the safari, with the desire to see a leopard, the trip was wonderful as we ended up seeing two leopards!
We also saw many other animals, including wild boar, buffalo, various birds, elephants - including babies, mongoose, antelope, crocodiles. I think that’s everything

A great experience with Ish! - We had a lovely experience on this safari :) Ish was on time to pick us up from our hotel, and we saw a leopard within the first half an hour of the safari!! (Though there’s no promises on this…)
We had a nice break for breakfast with fruit, hoppers, roti and cake. Ish was great at pointing out animals that we would never have spotted, such as crocodiles and lizards!
Thank you :)

Highly recommended - We did the 5am-12pm tour with Janka Safari and it was definitely a highlight from our trip around Sri Lanka.
We were picked up promptly by our guide Damidh, to ensure we were one of the first jeeps into the national park when the gates were opened. Our guide was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure we saw all Yala had to offer.

Great safari! Highly recommended! - The safari was really great and is highly recommended! We arrived at about 5:30 a.m. at the queue to the entrance gate of the park, where we were allowed to "push forward" a bit, as we were left a seat in the row. We were therefore one of the first in the park, which creates good conditions to see many animals. For the first 2.5 hours we tried to find a leopard and then even saw a pack of three leopards crossing the road in front of us. Nobody else had seen a leopard that day, so we were really super lucky. We pay close attention to animal welfare and do not chase animals. The driver is very experienced and nice. On the safari there was also a very delicious breakfast!

Highlight of our trip - The safari in Yala was the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. We had to get up quite early, but it was absolutely worth it as we were the first ones in the park. Our guide/driver gave us some explanations. Once in the park, we immediately saw a lot of buffaloes, peacocks, wild boars, and elephants. After 2 hours, I had almost lost hope of spotting a leopard, as we were told that they are easiest to see early in the morning. Nothing could have been further from the truth: not much later, we first saw a leopard with her two cubs and about an hour later we saw another leopard just resting on the rocks. After that, we saw more of the other animals, as well as monkeys, boar and all kinds of birds. A great experience!
Tip: don’t get the full day safari. I heard from a lot of people it’s not worth it, you just keep seeing the same animals.

Fantastic safari with a great driver - We had a fantastic experience with this safari tour. Driver is very knowledgeable and took us to all the good spots so it did not feel crowded with other jeeps. We saw many animals, including leopards, elephants, crokodiles, jackals, monkeys and many beatiful birds. The safari included a lovely breakfast with local food, it was very good. We really recommend this safari tour if you want a great experience in Yala national park!

Safari race - If you want to see quickly many animals, this is the tour for you. If you want more, then no. Yes, we saw Leopards (for 5 seconds) but..
tour should have started at 4.30 but we were picked up at 5. turns out the park only allows access at 6. After an initial dangerous rally to get to the spot were the leopard was spotted (the people sitting at the back hit theor had to the roof), we stayed one hour waiting with another 10 jeeps to wait if they come out again. eventually we moved on. The whole safari felt like a bit of a race through the park. Stopping very little when bigger animals were spotted. Birds were not really covered much. also no further explanation, except the name of the species were provided. We definitely saw many animals but didn't really stop to enjoy and observe them. It felt like take a picture and go. Breakfast was served as promised but there was only one binocular for the 6 people. We had a much better experience in Minneriya, spending time in observing the animals and their behaviour.

Disappointing!! - It was pretty disappointing. I recommend performing with another company. He was hanging around in the Leopards area for hours, we saw none, no elephant, no bear. A bore and everyone in the car was falling asleep and I personally wanted to finish. I was very disappointed.
I understand that the animals are free and I want to, otherwise I would pay to enter a Zoo, but I think in this case the guide did not do well.
