A special place to visit - We really enjoyed our full day safari. Our guide was fantastic. Good communication the day before and pick up time was bang on. He was desperate to make sure we saw leopards and through this we managed to see 3!!! This after seeing/hearing others not see them or how hard it is. He did amazing. We saw all the other animals throughout the day. Getting really close to elephants you could reach out and touch them was so amazing. It’s a very long day, so be aware of that. There is a 2.5 hour break in the middle of the day where you eat lunch by the beach. You can buy drinks there too so take money if you want. Thanks again, we loved it!

Highly recommend - My husband and I had a great time on safari. It started with a message the night before to confirm pick up time as well as breakfast and lunch which was lovely. We saw all the animals including leopards and it times where it felt like we were the only people in the park! The tour guides were very knowledgeable and we enjoyed our time with them.

Unforgettable experience! - One of the best experience in Sri Lanka. Our driver picked us up at the hotel on the exact time with an amazing safari jeep. He was very friendly and did everything to find and show us leopards. He showed us hidden animal and even drove around to find elefants. We saw different animals, as well as the ocean and the sunset. This was an amazing safari experience for us!

Incredible experience - We had an absolutely incredible experience at Yala Safari Park! From the moment we entered we started seeing animals, and we were lucky enough to spot a magnificent leopard which was truly a once-in-a-lifetime sight. The highlight of our trip was witnessing a large herd of elephants gracefully roaming the park, creating an unforgettable scene. To top it all off, we unexpectedly encountered a sloth bear, adding a fantastic surprise to our adventure. The diverse wildlife, stunning landscapes, and knowledgeable guides made this trip a perfect escape into nature. We can't recommend Yala enough for anyone seeking an unforgettable safari experience

Leaping Leopards in Lanka - Logistics were all handled well. Prep for a super long day but we saw a leopard and a bunch of elephants. Good day. Sule was our safari guide and his initiative made it so we saw the leopard in a weather window outside the rain.

Great Safari - Had a full day safari first 6 hours we saw most everything , ran into elephants in the road 2 times, they came really close to the car. Our guide really wanted for us to se the leopard and he actually made that happens the last 20 minutes . He drove like a maniac but it was worth it , it was really close to the car. It’s driving from 6-12 and then 2 hours lunch , then driving again at 2-6. it’s was a really long day but so much to see, we saw most animals in the morning between 6-9

TERRIBLE! Avoid Tiger Safari at All Costs – A Horrific Experience When Things Went Wrong! - My girlfriend and I had been looking forward to this trip for months. It started off on a high note, with our guide Sule being energetic and incredibly informative, setting the tone for what we thought would be an unforgettable safari. Unfortunately, our experience quickly spiraled into a nightmare at the lunch stop. My girlfriend was scratched by a monkey, and we remembered being explicitly told before the trip that any incidents like this required immediate medical attention. However, this is where everything fell apart. Instead of receiving the support we needed, the tour guides banded together and pressured us to finish the safari, even suggesting that if we chose to leave early, the entire group would have to end their experience as well. This was an unfair and distressing position to be put in, and it left us feeling helpless. After some back-and-forth, we were eventually told a taxi could be arranged to take us to the local medical center—for $25. Believing this was standard procedure, we agreed, only to be dropped off at a closed medical facility with no guidance on what to do next. Left to our own devices, we had to walk 15 minutes to find the local hospital, where the staff thankfully treated us swiftly and with great care. We then had to find our own way back to our accommodation, adding further stress to an already upsetting situation. Back at Big Game Yala Glamping (who, by the way, were absolutely fantastic throughout—cannot recommend them highly enough!), we explained what had happened. Our host was appalled by the tour operator’s conduct and advised us to file a formal complaint and request a refund, as the handling of the situation was completely inappropriate. We followed this advice and contacted the company, but their response was disappointing, to say the least. They offered us a complimentary morning safari the next day but still insisted we pay $35 each for park entry and refused to refund the $25 charged for the taxi to the hospital. To make matters worse, when we woke up at 4:30 am for the promised safari, nobody turned up! Adding insult to injury, the operator failed to adhere to the booking terms and conditions, which included accommodation pick-up and drop-off as part of the package. More alarmingly, they completely neglected their responsibility for our safety when things went wrong. There were no policies or procedures in place for medical emergencies, and the lack of support left us feeling abandoned at a critical moment. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and outright disregard for customer safety and well-being were appalling. What started as a highly anticipated experience ended up being one of the most stressful and frustrating travel experiences we’ve ever had. Whatever you do, AVOID TIGER SAFARI AT ALL COSTS. There are plenty of other operators who will treat you with the respect and care you deserve. This company clearly won’t.
