Adventurous biking tour. - Our trip in Kashmir, we paddled the Srinagar-Tulel Valley over Razdan Pass was quite a serene and adventurous biking tour with Kashmir Treks; the most reliable agent in Srinagar. Recommended.

Great hike, BUT... - Look, objectively this is an incredible hike. Walking through the villages as the shepherds were out with their sheep was amazing. The views were second to none. It's the Himalayas; what do you expect? Lunch was provided. That was cool. However, I don't think the description of this tour accurately conveys the hike in question here. This is a CHALLENGING hike. I'm used to Colorado hikes, where the incline is gradual with plenty of level ground in between; perhaps a few big climbs scattered throughout where you really have to push yourself for a kilometer or two. To me, that's a "moderate" hike. This trail is up, up, up, up, up, up - and it's relentlessly STEEP the whole way. Now, I try to stay active, but I'm pretty out of shape and I live in a very flat place. I knew going in that I'd have to push myself to reach the top. I gave every ounce of energy and willpower that I had and halfway up, I surrendered to the reality that I simply could not go any further. Perhaps with a few more hours and a more leisurely pace, I'd have defeated the mountain. But my guide didn't seem interested in my needed pace. He was never outright rude, and I appreciate that, but it was clearly evident that he was annoyed by my pace and need for breaks. (I don't love having to say "I'm sorry" over and over for something I paid for.) Anyway, I got some great photos and I got a fantastic workout. I'm not here to tell you not to do this tour. If you're active and love hiking through the mountains, this will not disappoint. But if you're not in the best shape and it's been a few months since you've gone up a mountain, I strongly urge you to reconsider. There's no shame in it. Take it from ya boy, the Himalayas are not a joke. P.S. My afternoon driver was awesome. My morning driver was not. For whatever reason he didn't like me, I guess. Kind of a bad way to start the day.
