Pir Panjal Trek - This was my 3rd trek with Himalayan Shelter and we did Pir Panjal Trek in Kashmir from 24th to 30th August. The trek was 2 days of Climb and then we reach meadows with number of beautiful lakes. The Weather turned bad with incessant rain and gushing wind. The staffs of Himalayan Shelter ensured that we were safe and the tents were secure. It was tough work for them as they had to pack and clear all the camp site in the rain. Great Work by our trek leader, Nitin Bhaiya, local guide Shafeer Bhaiya, and the entire kitchen staff.

Exhilarating immersive trek experience. - We decided to join Himalaya Shelter group for Kashmir Great Lakes '24 edition and were impressed by their attention to detail and commitment to good professional standards of practice for all aspects of our trek. Our trek team manned by team leader Surendra Rana treated us to great food on all days of our trek and maintained great rapport with locals onground to ensure that our kit made it to campsites before us at each end of day in spite of many logistical challenges on this trek owing to incessant rains. We were informed of schedules and timings daily and adhered to them so as to begin around dawn on each day and reach every next campsite just before or around dusk to find it neatly laid out and prepared for refreshments and rest. One thing that could have made our experience better was if we were provided more informative reading material on the trek itself it may have helped us contribute more to the overall preservation of the trail against the impact of irresponsible tourism on the regional ecosystem. Overall we recommend this team and company and would trek with them again. Regards, @ananthadi

The amazing Great Kashmir Lakes trek - Beautiful vast, green meadows after the first day. The terrain changes every few hours, streams, boulders, steep ascents, and the last day was a 13 kilometers downhill. The Himalaya Shelter team was amazing. Great food - hot, steaming soups, dals, rajma, pasta, popcorn , baingan bharta... good food, so far from home - much relished after all the hours of trekking. There were ten of us, I didn't know anybody but along with the Himalaya Shelter team, we all became like family. The evenings were beautiful because our camp sites were right next to alpine lakes, we took many photos. The night sky was starlit, unbelievably clear. Looking forward to many more beautiful treks with Himalaya Shelter.

Amazing - Wonderful experience mainly because of lower number of people( group size was only 10), which was calming and also yeh staff was amazing, from the trek leaders to the cook.

Excellent Team - Surendra Rana who was our guide is one gem of a person and extremely alert and vigilant. Him and Rishabh got our entire group down safely when the weather turned bad on the KGL Trekk. A lot of trekkers owe these 2 their lives. Thank you Surendra bhai and Rishabh bhai.

Overall great experience, will travel again. - The management was amazing, food was excellent. We enjoyed the trip with the crew, and what we liked was the fact that we were able to do it at our pace with many scenic stops. The gear was also excellent. The permit could've been managed better since we got a day less on the trek.
