Fife gems - The village of Falkland where early scenes of Outlander was shot was a highlight. Also the fishing village of Anstruther was lovely. St.Andrews is a must see of course but was very crowded. The pub recommended by our driver Paul was excellent.

St. Andrew’s, Scotland - It was a bucket list trip to visit the town of St. Andrew’s and see the Old Course. Perfect sunny weather. It was an awesome day. Our driver, Keith, was fantastic.

Charming - We all had such a lovely time on this day trip! Keith was absolutely incredible, especially taking care with my unusual situation; I had torn a ligament in my foot 2 days prior to our St. Andrews trip. Mind the gap getting into taxis from cobblestones! Keith was very kind and accommodating so that I was able to enjoy the entire trip. Charming. Beautiful drive and beautiful stops and highlights. Highly recommend.

Friendly Guide Personalized Tour though Lacked Historical Knowledge - We had a great time with our driver - he fully customized our trip based on our preferences - adding a stop and also skipping a stop because we wanted to return home early for a dinner reservation that night. He was fun and talkative and full of great advice. The only weakness was his lack of historical information. We’re a family of history nerds and would’ve liked more historical context, but his specialty was current information and suggestions. He was prompt and communicative

Jam Packed Amazing Day - Our guide Paul treated us to an amazing day with tons of information , some fun stories and great interaction with the whole family. We loved his direction to act out an early scene from Outlander in Falkland village and getting us in the right spots for pictures on the Old Course at St. Andrews. We had a tight schedule on the day of our visit due to evening plans and Paul was more than willing to accommodate and ensured we got in all the sights and still made it to our evening plans in Edinburgh,

Once we were off ~ it was a GREAT day! - Upon arriving in South Queensferry, our driver was no where to be found! Luckily, another tour guide had Alan Fee's (owner of Ecosse Executive - Day Tours) number and we were quickly communicating via text. We were told our driver was stuck in traffic (due to an accident ~ no fault of his) and would be there as soon as possible. As all are aware, on vacation "time is your currency" and we spent 1.5 hours of our 8 hour day (approximately 20%) waiting for Paul, our driver to arrive. Once onsite the vehicle was immaculate and Paul did a great job with the remaining 6.5 hours ~ but time lost, is time lost. Our first stop was a detour to Falkland village where scenes of Outlander were filmed and we were serenaded by a local gentleman. Paul made the remaining 80% of the day engaging, enjoyable, and customized to our interests, yet somewhat rushed as he kept us moving along. We viewed the Forth Rail Bridge, took pictures at the famous bridge on the 18th hole of the St. Andrews course, enjoyed lunch at a tavern in St. Andrews, visited the Dunfermline Abbey ruins, but not really sure we saw much of East Neuk or the coastline. We would have loved to have another 1.5 hour of our day with Paul to expand our knowledge of this beautiful country and be entertained along the way. We lost approximately 20% of our day due to a traffic accident and Alan has determined that no compensation at all will be provided. So in short ~ based upon other reviews ~ if all goes well you will have a GREAT time/tour, but if there are issues, do not expect to be compensated by Ecosse Executive - Day Tours.

Worst day of our 16 day... - Worst day of our 16 day trip. We booked Luxury transportation (Mercedes or jaguar) for $800 and they sent a taxi cab. I am prone to motion sickness and felt worse and worse during the day. It was extremely bumpy and uncomfortable. Our husbands had to sit in jump seats. Viator should not be allowed to advertise ‘luxury’ and send a taxicab. Once home I will be seeking a refund.
