Very Fun Experience - My sister and I went in March and we absolutely enjoyed this tour! It was really engaging and informative. You get to see a lot of cool stuff - and some of it still works! It was very interactive. Ruby was our "shopkeeper" and she was amazing!!!!

Step back in time to 1908 for an unforgettable mock shopping experience - This museum allows you to step back in time to see the wide array of products available to the shopper in the first decade of the 1900's. There's an incredible assortment of what were considered labor-saving devices for American households at a time when the industrial revolution was producing exciting new products. You'll see the some of the earliest washing machines, sewing machines, typewriters, bicycles, as well as the earliest machines for grinding coffee beans, making milkshakes, separating cream from milk or producing butter from cream, etc. What made the tour especially entertaining as well as fascinating was the animated and humorous shopkeeper, Orville. His imitation of the sales pitches by shopkeepers and salesmen over a century ago were delightful as well as informative. There are so many artifacts to see in the museum that you should definitely plan to spend a full hour here.

Old Jail/Oldest Store Museum - Recently took my 9 yr. old grand daughter. Wasn't expecting much other than to kill some time and keep her occupied for a little bit. As locals, we did not do the Trolley Tour, so I cannot comment on that. We did do the Old Jail Tour, where Rosie/Jenny had us laughing the whole time. We were very impressed with the tour. We then went to the Oldest Store Museum, where again I was not expecting much, but was totally blown away by Uncle Vince. He pulled my grand daughter into the tour, which thrilled her...she got to churn the butter and then churn the butter while holding the baby. He did the bubbles 2 or 3 times for her, which made her feel extra special. There were so many things to see, it was awesome!

Great Experience - Virgil our tour guide was simply amazing. Kept in character the entire time. Was likeable and very knowledgeable. Would give the man a raise to 30 cents an hour for sure. The entire experience was well worth it. The items in the general store were amazing. Have been in the antique business for 30 plus years and was amazed at the stock.

Excellent tour - This was our favorite tour of the day. Molly was fantastic. This tour gave a fascinating look into daily life in 1908. Seriously, who doesn’t wish they had a goat-powered machine.
