Island Adventures: Our Family’s St. Croix Experience
When I heard about the private airport pick-up service in St. Croix, I knew it was the perfect way to kick off our family adventure. Join me as I share our journey from the moment we landed to exploring the island’s charming towns and beautiful beaches.
Arrival in Paradise
As soon as our plane touched down at Henry E. Rohlsen Airport, I could feel the excitement bubbling up inside me. St. Croix, the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands, was calling my name, and I was ready to answer. With my family in tow, we were eager to start our island adventure. But first, we needed to get to our hotel, and that’s where the Private Airport Pick Up came in.
The moment we stepped off the plane, we were greeted by a friendly local driver who whisked us away in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. No waiting in long taxi lines or trying to figure out public transportation for us! The kids were thrilled to be on the move so quickly, and I was grateful for the stress-free start to our vacation. Our driver, a true island expert, shared fascinating tidbits about St. Croix as we made our way to our hotel, The Buccaneer.
Exploring Christiansted
Once we settled into our hotel, which was as fabulous as everyone had said, we set out to explore Christiansted. This charming town was a delightful mix of history, culture, and fun. We strolled along the boardwalk, taking in the vibrant atmosphere and stopping at some of the great restaurants that had been recommended to us. The food was delicious, albeit a bit pricey, but worth every penny for the flavors and the views.
The kids loved the boardwalk, and we spent a good amount of time just watching the boats and enjoying the tropical breeze. It was easy to see why people said you could get by without a car here, but we were glad we had rented a Jeep. The roads were a bit bumpy, but the Jeep handled them like a champ, and it gave us the freedom to explore the island at our own pace.
Discovering Frederiksted
Our adventure wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Frederiksted. While it was a bit touristy, especially with the cruise ship in port, it had its own charm. The people we met were amazing, full of warmth and stories about the island. We spent the day exploring the local shops and enjoying the beautiful beaches.
The entire island is within an hour’s drive, so we took the opportunity to see as much as we could. Each corner of St. Croix had something unique to offer, and the kids loved the variety of experiences. From the lush landscapes to the friendly locals, it was a trip filled with unforgettable memories.
In the end, our private airport pick-up was the perfect start to our St. Croix adventure. It set the tone for a vacation that was both relaxing and exciting, and I can’t wait to share more of our family travel experiences with you all. Until next time, happy travels!
