Highlights
  • Kingstown Ferry Terminal - Our tour begins at the Kingstown cruise ship terminal. We’ll guide you through our capital city, Kingstown. As we drive, you’ll see and learn about some of the most historic buildings, including The Central Police Station, The Financial Complex, The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, and our Cenotaph.
  • Kingstown Market - We’ll drive through our bustling market square, where many vendors and farmers sell their local produce.
  • Kingstown Methodist Church - Continuing through Kingstown, we’ll drive along the street of the church, locally known as “back street.” Here, you’ll receive a brief history of the Methodist church, as well as the Anglican and Roman Catholic churches.
  • Fort Charlotte - Next, we’ll head to Fort Charlotte, a British-colonial era fort built on a hill overlooking the harbor. It offers a panoramic view of the Leeward side of the island, including Kingstown, Young Island, Bequia, and the famous Mustique island.
  • Buccament Bay - After Fort Charlotte, we’ll join the Leeward highway, now renamed the Nelson Mandela Highway. Along the way, you’ll see The Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, The Victoria Park (a small stadium also known as Carnival City during the Carnival season), The Botanical Gardens (the oldest of its kind in the western hemisphere), our industrial area Campden Park, and finally the picturesque Buccament Bay. We’ll make a quick stop here for photos.
  • Layou Village - A short distance north of Buccament Bay is Layou, one of the first areas settled by the French in the early 18th century. Even before that, the Caribs used it as a settlement, as evidenced by the petroglyphs found in the area. We’ll stop here in Layou for photos.
  • Barrouallie - Our next stop is the fishing village of Barrouallie, established by French settlers in 1719 as the first European colony on St. Vincent. It was once the capital of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and changed hands between the French and British before finally remaining with the latter. Located in Saint Patrick Parish, Barrouallie is the largest city and parish capital. The area is known for fishing and is famous for “Blackfish.” The surrounding mountains have protected the town from volcanic eruptions over time.
  • Wallilabou - Our next stop is Wallilabou Bay, where the opening scenes of the first “Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of The Black Pearl” movie were filmed. It is one of the most visited sites for cruise ship passengers.
  • Wallilabou Heritage Park - Just a stone’s throw away is Wallilabou Heritage Park, our next stop. It features a small waterfall, and large Samaan trees cover the pool and its adjacent areas, creating a cool micro-climate. These and other plants provide a habitat for several bird species.
  • Buccament Bay - After enjoying Dark View Falls, we’ll return to Buccament Beach, where you’ll have an hour to swim or snorkel.

Toured Fort Charlotte, Wallilabou Anchorage & Heritage Park, and had 1 hour to Snorkel at the soon to be Sandals beach - This was one of the best tours of my entire life! Wayne is by far the best tour guide on the island of Saint Vincent and so nice and knowledgeable about the culture of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The Rum Punch Wayne offered us was super strong but absolutely incredible! Not to mention the pineapple we ate for a snack which was grown on his farm was the best pineapple I've eaten in my life. We loved this tour so much that we decided to go with Wayne the following day to the Owid Salt Pond and the Windward side of the island which was incredible too! Overall Wayne was absolutely fantastic and super accommodating. Definitely give this tour a try! It is extremely worth your time!

Fantastic personalised St Vincent Tour - Fantastic trip - far better than the expensive overcrowded ones ran from the ship with Tui. We booked in advance from the UK, Wayne messaged with arrival instructions and he was there waiting with a smile! There was just us and one other couple, we found out lots of fascinating facts about st Vincent and visited many highlights including a waterfall and gardens, Fort Charlotte, the beach and the pirates of the Caribbean set. Worth every penny!

Long ride for disappointing Pirates of the Caribbean experience. - There was no organization, we were put in 3 different vehicles before it was decided what vehicle we should be in. Topdawg also had no record of our reservation. We were finally put in an over-crowded bus. It took approximately 2 hours to get to the Port Royal Experience which was not what anyone expected. Buildings of miscellaneous telephones, tv. There were very weathered coffins you could stand in for a picture and a possibility 12 foot or more skeleton for pictures. We stopped at a black-sand beach for some swimming and tables to order yourself something to drink. The weather was extremely hot and humid. Bus should have had a microphone so all could here what was being said.

Just ok - This tour was decent but could have been much better, they started by jamming way to many people into an already full van. The first part had some interesting views. The driver then asked who wanted a beer 1 for 5, I paid 10 USD for, and a British couple paid 10 euros for 2, The price other places on island was 3 for 5 Caribbean dollars (felt scammed) The stop at the gardens was supposed to be 15 minutes and resulted in a dollar charge to see a 10-foot waterfall and stand around 45 minutes watching cab drivers argue. The Pirates of Carribean film area was great absolutely best part of tour. The beach stop was OK at best.

Wouldn't repeat this tour - It was an ok trip. Minibus of 15, with plastic covers on the seats! Guide had to be asked to turn air con on as at times it was like an oven, especially for those at the back. Pirates of the Caribbean aspect was very disappointing, not the experience we expected. Botanical gardens also a bit underwhelming and Angel Beach to finish the tour, again we thought there'd be a lovely beach with different bars to sit at and watch the world go by. One bar only which was taken over by the construction workers from the site nearby, and the various tour guides. Had to hang around for around 50 minutes to find a seat when some others left. Maybe ok if you want to go on the beach or swim but we didn't.

Ok trip - It was an ok day. Norris was our driver and he was very knowledgable, courteous and looked after the group well. Fort Charlotte was a good viewpoint for photos. The ‘pirates of the Caribbean port’ really wasn’t worth visiting. And the wallilabou heritage park was just a very small waterfall that you had to pay to get in to see. Very busy with tourists at every point on this trip. It was also a lot of time in the minibus too but an ok way to see some of the island.

I do not recommend the Pirates of the Caribbean/Snorkel Tour in St Vincent - This tour has potential but was not a good experience for us. Fort Charlotte was closed for maintenance so we didn’t have the benefit of going inside. Pirates of the Caribbean had some good things but overall the area is not well maintained. Next, they took us to a waterfall which was the least impressive waterfall I’ve ever been to. They then took us to a beach with the dirtiest water I’ve ever seen. Come on! You guys can do better than that.

Don't take this tour - Too many people everywhere. All buses went to the same places at the same time. Nothing was told about the various places to be visited or about the history of the country etc. The bus was overcrowded and there was no air conditioning or power socket as promised. The driver drove like he was on a trip with his friends.
