- Kingstown Market - We’ll drive through the bustling market square, where numerous vendors and farmers sell their local produce.
- Kingstown Methodist Church - As we continue through Kingstown, we’ll travel along the street of the church, locally known as “back street.” Here, you’ll receive a brief history of the Methodist church, as well as the Anglican and Roman Catholic churches.
- Peace Memorial Hall - We’ll proceed onto the Windward Highway, pointing out various points of interest. You’ll see the UWI of continuing studies, Peace Memorial Hall, the Public Library, the National Archive, and the cocoa company, among others.
- Sion Hill Junction - After visiting Fort Charlotte, we’ll join the Leeward Highway, now renamed the Nelson Mandela Highway. Along the way, you’ll see The Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, Victoria Park (a small stadium known as Carnival City during the Carnival season), the Botanical Gardens (the oldest of its kind in the western hemisphere), the industrial area of Campden Park, and the picturesque Buccament Bay, where we’ll stop briefly for photos.
- Belmont Lookout - Our next stop is Belmont Lookout, offering panoramic views of the picturesque Marriaqua Valley to the north and east, and glimpses of Bequia, Baliceaux, and Battowia to the southeast and west. It’s a popular stop for visitors to Kingstown and those heading up the windward coast.
- Marriaqua Government School - Continuing through the farming valley of Marriaqua, known as the food basket of St. Vincent, we’ll point out various farmlands and crops, providing general information about the valley.
- Montreal Gardens - Our next stop is Montreal Gardens, set in a tropical rainforest. Here, you can see exotic plants and flowers of every imaginable shape, size, and color. The surrounding tree-filled hills complete the lush scenery. You can walk along paths that lead directly through the garden.
- Indian Bay Beach - After a wonderful time at Montreal Gardens, we’ll head to the beautiful and picturesque Villa Beach. It offers a stunning view of the Young Island Resort, where Johnny Depp and some crew members stayed while filming The Pirates of the Caribbean. Villa Beach also features nice bars, restaurants, and good toilet facilities.
- Indian Bay Beach - Our final stop is the beautiful and picturesque Villa Beach on the windward side of St. Vincent. It offers a stunning view of the Young Island Resort, where Johnny Depp and some crew members stayed while filming The Pirates of the Caribbean. Villa Beach also features nice bars, restaurants, and good toilet facilities. You can swim or snorkel here, so please bring your swimming gear (optional).
