I Dream of Nevis… - Lornette (Lady L) took care of us, and showed us as much of this beautiful island as possible during this one day tour. We were picked up from the port on Oualie Beach, and headed towards our first major stop, the Botanical Gardens. Along the way to the gardens Lady L stopped at a few churches along the route and explained their significance to the island and the historical impact on the Nevisians since being erected. Parishes were explained, summaries of the towns/points of interests were given, and there were plenty of opportunities for picture taking. The Botanical Gardens were breathtaking, and deserves a glowing review all by itself. After the Gardens, we made further stops at the Nevis Hot Springs, and Sunshine’s Bar & Grill for some tasty food and their Killer Bee adult beverage. Sunshine’s is a beach bar, so some time at the beach is also an option along this tour. We had plenty of time to take in our surroundings during our stops, and only left when we were good and ready. This was an awesome way to see the magnificent island of Nevis, the island’s warm and friendly residents, and enjoy a relaxing way of life that envelops you as soon as you step foot on Nevis.
