- Basseterre - Established in 1627 by the French under Sieur Pierre Belain d’Esnambuc, Basseterre was the capital of the French colony of Saint-Christophe, which included the northern and southern ends of St. Kitts.
- Sandy Point Town - As the second largest town on the island of Saint Kitts, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Sandy Point is located on the north-west coast and serves as the capital of Saint Anne Sandy Point Parish. Founded in the 1620s, it quickly became the commercial hub of St. Kitts and one of the region’s busiest anchorages.
- Southeast Peninsula - The peninsula boasts features such as the Great Salt Pond, the largest lake in the country, St. Anthony’s Peak, Turtle Beach, and several bays including Ballast Bay, Major’s Bay, and Cockleshell Bay. Previously, this low-lying, scrubby peninsula was less developed and mainly accessible by boat. However, the construction of an all-weather road in the 1990s has spurred development, especially around Turtle Beach.
