The site is part of the rainforest and offers free rum tasting of the original molasses rum. - Caribelle Batik at Romney Manor - Attached to Romney Manor is Caribelle Batik, where traditional Indonesian batik art has been practiced on the island for over 50 years. This tour departs from Port Zante, the St. Kitts Marriott, or any other agreed-upon location and travels along the island’s main road towards Basseterre. Upon arriving in Basseterre, the city’s rich European and African history is evident in its architecture. We pass by landmarks such as Piccadilly Circus, Independence Square, and the War Memorial before reaching three major points of interest: the Romney Manor Sugar Plantation, the Caribelle Batik shop/factory, and the Brimstone Hill Fortress. At each of these locations, time is allotted for browsing, photography, and enjoying the spectacular views. The tour then returns in the same direction back to your hotel.
