This hike is more like a... - This hike is more like a hike plus a scramble/climb. If you love hiking and the outdoors, it’s definitely for you. The driver was very friendly, and our guide was very good, getting us up to the top of the mountain. We were the only two on our tour (a bonus that you get your own group). Upon finishing (because if you start it you should get to the top of you physically can), we were greeted with some much deserved beers. This company did a great job, and from my research, it was the best value for this tour I could find overall. A guide is required for the trek, so booking here is a great day trip.

Highly recommend! - We drove to the mountain, stopping along the way for snacks and water. Our guides on the hike were excellent. They helped us with challenging areas and went at our desired pace. The hike was incredibly tough, but the views were amazingly beautiful, so it was worth it.

Gros Piton is a MUST when in St Lucia! - Gros Piton is truly a magical place. Not just the hike itself and the view… but the drive there, the village, the people, the tree roots along the path…I loved it there. The hike isn’t as challenging as the Petit Piton (which I had hiked a couple days before), but you do have to earn that view, it’s not an “easy” hike. The summit itself is a small space so I’m glad I started my hike at 7a. By the time I was coming down there were so many people going up that I could imagine it was pretty crowded up there. However, even though it’s a small space at the summit, it’s beautiful! You can get some really cool pics up there. My guide was Marva, who is great! She’s experienced, professional, very knowledgeable, and kind. I learned a lot about the island of St Lucia with Marva. I highly recommend her as your guide, she’s valid. Hit her up and enjoy! Fun hike in St. Lucia! - Danney is a very knowledgeable guide, who is also flexible with accommodating changes. The hike itself had steep sections and was fairly challenging. The views at all the stops were breathtaking to say the least! Definitely recommend this hike!

Best driver on the island. - DannyBoy was amazing. Van was clean and he had lots of information to share to make the drive more enjoyable. He was very considerate trying to avoid the potholes and to make you feel comfortable. I would definitely book with him again.

Great hike! - Our driver, Lloyd, was FANTASTIC! He’s friendly, knowledgeable, & just fun to be around. He shared lots of island fun facts with us & we laughed with him to & from our resort. Mya, our guide, spent most of the 4 hour hike socializing in Creole with her friend & not even hiking with us. That’s fine, we enjoyed the hike on our own, but we paid $260 for this tour. She didn’t speak to the multitude of vegetation in the rain forest or share any facts about the rain forest. Paying $260, I’d expect that if we actually NEED a guide, she stay with us & “guide” us. She put out zero effort for us. I noticed the same behavior from her coworker who was also “guiding” a tourist. I still give this 5 stars because the hike itself & the views are stunning. It’s definitely moderate to strenuous with very rocky terrain, but overall well worth it.

Nice hiking but uncommitted guide - Overall it was a very good tour. We were picked up by a local guide (Danny boy) who was absolutely amazing! Throughout the transfer he told us things about Saint Lucia and the different towns and villages we passed by. After his recommendation we also added a visit to volcanic baths and a waterfall which was amazingly beautiful! The negative aspect of the experience was the guide, which was mandatory for the hike. She said basically nothing during the hike and was reluctant to answer questions or have any closer conversation. The hike took longer than expected, which was because the guide could not walk very fast. When we passed other guides along the way, we got the impression that most of them didn’t talk to their groups or tell us about the rainforest we walked in. The trail was very nice, but relatively demanding. In the second half, climbing over boulders is required. It will also be slippery if it rains. I recommend the hike, but one should not expect a guided tour on the way up, but only someone walking next to you.

Future Booking Recommendation - The hike is challenging but fun. The views at the top are beautiful, and you can see the nearby island of St. Vincent. I strongly recommend the company adds some sort of question/booking feature that allows you to input your requested hiking pace; our guide could not keep up with us and we hiked half the trail independently.

Rewarding hike, felt ripped off by tour operator. - The description of this activity is a “shared” hike. My wife and I preferred to have a private experience as we didn’t expect to hike the same pace as others, but it’s not a big deal. The night before our excursion, we received an e-mail from the operator saying that no one else signed up for the hike, so it would be private, and we owe an extra $55. It was not our fault that no one else signed up for this hike, nor does the description say anything about supplemental fees if no one else signs up. Additionally, the description lists a “cold Piton beer” and a “brief island tour with historical insights and local knowledge.” Neither happened. The hike is challenging and rewarding, maybe just book with a different tour operator.

Total rip off… we... - Total rip off… we basically paid $200 for a ride, 2 waters and 2 beers. Still had to pay $50 each to get in. It was too late to cancel when we realized we could have paid a driver $50 and the entrance fee for half the price. With that being said driver was pretty cool and we enjoyed the climb.
