Great Quicker Hike with Good Views - My wife and I went on this hike on our honeymoon. Our guide Thomas was very knowledgable and provided a great experience on our hike. The hike was short but challenging especially in the 90 degree humid heat. The pickup and drop off process was also very smooth at the resort.

A Great Experience - This hike is amazing. It is not a long hike, but some parts up to the top of Mt. Pimard were challenging. Make sure to wear supportive shoes and bring water. You will be sweating a lot. Getting to the top involved five areas that required you to use a rope to pull yourself up. The views were beautiful. Our guide, Keyz, was terrific. He was so knowledgeable of the trail, the route up to the top, the history of the island, and he made this hike a memorable experience. So glad we chose this excursion and that we met Keyz.

Fun but strenuous hike - We booked this tour through shore excursions (who used Lucian Styles) since I was apparently too old to go on the ship's tour! Our guide was CJ, and he was great. My husband and I were the only two on the tour, and they still didn't cancel it. We saw some cool WWII bunkers and rain forest scenery. There was a pool with fresh water tilapia that would nibble on your feet as you sat there. That was fun! I can't lie, it was a tough hike. It seems that a lot of Caribbean rain forest hikes require you to pull yourself up with branches or tree roots, so it was pretty steep. I heard that you had to pull yourself up with ropes, and I envisioned it as kind of a handrail/safety thing. Nope, it was slick rock surfaces and your arms did all the work pulling yourself up. There were four stretches like that. The good news was that CJ was there, guiding us for every step and every handhold, offering a hand when needed. It took about an hour and there was a great view from the top. Unfortunately, it started raining at the top and rained the whole way down. I guess that's why they call it a rain forest. Definitely a memorable hike and we're glad we did it. Thanks again, CJ!

Challenging hike, but well worth it - The hike was challenging and very fun. My wife and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and wanted to do something active, versus sitting on the beach. The hike definitely got us moving. The hike starts out easy, but then becomes a steep climb through trees and rocks. We had to climb up a series of boulders using 5 ropes! Thomas our guide was the best! He was very encouraging and lots of fun. He gave us a history of the island and his joyful personality kept us moving (with a few breaks mixed in). The views from the top were incredible.

Great Mt Hike - The hike was amazing. Hike started with nice easy climb up and then bordered on intermediate level as you climb up. Beautiful views from the top. Our guide, Thomas, was the best guide we have ever had. He had a plethora of knowledge about the history of the island and about local plants and animals. The only reason we gave five stars was because we couldn't give more.

A fun, quick, and surprisingly intense hike - Absolutely LOVED this hike. It's a quick one, but don't be fooled, it's more intense than any of the excursion brochures or sites make it out to be. Elevation change and steep, rocky terrain, plus mud (it was raining on our hike) made it more challenging than expected. If you're in decent shape and can handle getting a little dirty you'll be golden.
Our guide, Thomas, was the best. He gave us history of the area, the island itself, and the mountain. It was a US military installation in the years following WWII, and you pass a few bunkers on the hike.
The view from the top is worth it, and I'd do it again were I to return to St. Lucia.
Highly recommended!

Thomas is the man! - This hike was very challenging and equally rewarding. It's a short hike, but packs a big punch. You have to use ropes to climb at certain parts, and hands needed near the top. Need at least a minimal level of fitness to enjoy. If you're a regular walker, you'll be fine!
Thomas was the star of the show, an amazing guide! Great personality and enthusiasm, and was very knowledgeable about the local plant life and wild life. I was very impressed with his character and overall attitude. Very encouraging and just a cool guy! Also took AMAZING photos. Was comfortable with both iphone and Android and knew how to take pictures better than me.

Thomas the amazing tour guide - This hike is amazing and highly recommend. What made the hike so memorable was our amazing tour guide Thomas. Super nice, great personality, great energy, very patient and very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond with showing us the different types of leaves, scents and what they are used for.
If you do go on this hike, definitely ask for Thomas to be your guide. You won't regret it.

Amazing views of the island and a great accomplishment! - My wife and I came to Saint Lucia for our honeymoon and decided to do this tour as we both really enjoy the outdoors and hiking.
We decided for an early ascent as the weather would be too hot otherwise and recommend others do the same. You also need at least 2L of water per person as some parts of the trail are exposed to the sun.
Our guide was a lovely chap called CJ who clearly knew a lot about the area and history of the mountain. He was very open and friendly and made the more difficult parts of the climb much easier with his positive attitude and words of encouragement.
As we finished in ‘record time’ (according to CJ), we were even able to take time to explore the old WW2 bunkers, anti aircraft gun battery and storage warehouses which were incredibly interesting.
The climb itself was a mixture of simple ascending pathways, rocky outcrops with plenty of handholds and more challenging open/steep areas which require the use of a rope to safely get up.
The summit is well worth it though with amazing views of the island. CJ even helped us take some lovely photos of the two of us.
Would recommend this tour to anyone physically able to take it on. The difficult parts are in my opinion, more of a mental barrier than a physical one and CJ did a great job of reminding us of that and keeping us encouraged.

Awesome Mt. Pimard Hike - My husband and I had a great time on this hike. It was definitely a harder hike than I was expecting. It was totally worth it though. The view from the top was incredible.
Keyz was an outstanding guide. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the area. Great personality. He took safety very seriously and was always watching and helping me through the tough parts of the hike.
I would recommend this hike and most definitely would ask for Keyz to be your guide.
