The journey begins at 10am with a dive into religious history, passing by St. Paul’s Island, where he was shipwrecked. A statue commemorates him in the center of this tiny island.
- Mellieha - We will cruise past Malta’s largest beach, Mellieha Bay, and venture into the Ahrax Cave for some fantastic photo opportunities. Before crossing the Comino South Channel, we’ll glide by the renowned tourist spot, Coral Cove.
- Comino - As we pass Ahrax Point, the island of Comino comes into view. The smallest of the three islands, it spans just 1.4 square miles. We’ll circle Comino, taking in the towering cliffs and enchanting rock formations like the ‘Elephant’s Head.’
- Blue Lagoon - The highlight of the tour, often described by travelers as Paradise on Earth, is the stunning BLUE LAGOON on Comino. Enjoy our prime mooring spot and spend time on the boat, away from the crowded beach. Dive, swim, and slide into the clear turquoise waters. Relax on the upper sun deck or unwind on our spacious shaded main deck. If you’re hungry, our onboard cafeteria offers reasonably priced snacks. While our boat may not be the newest, it has all the amenities needed for a day at sea. Use the boat as your base to freely explore Comino. Return anytime to access the bar, cafeteria, washrooms, or other facilities. With over 4 hours here, you’re sure to have an amazing time.
- Blue Lagoon - IMPORTANT: Starting May 1, 2025, Maltese authorities require all Blue Lagoon visitors to present a QR code for their designated time slot. To get your free access pass, please visit the provided link.
Our scheduled stop at the Blue Lagoon is from 11:00 to 15:30. During this time, you can choose to stay on board or explore the island.
- St. Mary’s Tower - Built in 1618 to defend Comino, we pass by the Santa Maria Tower, one of the few buildings on the island. Known for its role as the Chateau D’If prison in “The Count of Monte Cristo,” this is another picturesque site.
- Hornblower Cruises Malta - Returning at 5pm.
- Crystal Lagoon - Cruising through Comino’s South Channel, we enter the Crystal Lagoon, popular with divers for its deeper waters. This bay is accessible by foot from the Blue Lagoon, where we’ll be moored for 4.5 hours. An 8-minute walk brings you here, where you can snorkel, swim, or, for the adventurous, try cliff jumping. This site may be visited on the way to Comino or on the return to Malta, depending on weather conditions.
