Highlights
  • Bugibba - Boarding starts at 09:30 am and ends at 09:50 am. The cruise departs promptly at 10:00 am from the picturesque seaside town of Bugibba.
  • Blue Lagoon - As we cruise along the coastline, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the Maltese shoreline. Our smaller boat allows us to enter caves at no additional cost, giving you the chance to take photos inside. Your first stop will be the renowned Blue Lagoon in Comino, where you can swim, snorkel, and dive into the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Once docked at Comino, you can dive and jump from the boat or explore the island on foot. A snack bar is available onboard for purchasing food and drinks, and there are toilet facilities as well.
  • Island of Gozo - After spending an hour on Comino, you’ll board The Mermaid and cruise to your second stop, Mgarr Harbour in Gozo. As the boat enters the harbour, have your cameras ready to capture the breathtaking views of the Island of Gozo. You’ll have free time to explore and immerse yourself in Gozitan culture. At the designated time, The Mermaid will be ready in the harbour to continue your cruise. On the return journey to Malta, the boat will sail through the Comino channel, offering views of more beautiful caves, either Crystal Lagoon Caves or St Mary’s Caves, depending on the weather, before stopping at your next destination.
  • St Paul’s Islands - The final stop is at the historic St Paul’s Islands for 30 minutes. You’ll have the chance to swim one last time or hike up to see the statue of St Paul on the secluded island. The captain will sound the horn, signaling it’s time to return to Malta. On the way back, you can enjoy views of the Maltese coastline and the charming town of Bugibba. We will arrive back at 5 pm, concluding your delightful day on The Mermaid.

Amazing, smaller group, all day trip! - Great Value for money. All day trip, all the stops you want to see and worth seeing. Lovely smaller group of 48 which was pleasant. The lagoon was busy! Even though we arrived early but it is a hot spot so can't expect any less! Just take good shoes/Sandals.

Beautiful views, lovely day - The best day of our holiday! Captain Matthew was very knowledgeable about our destinations and was a very good driver! A big thanks to Robbie for always lending a hand on and off the boat! The destinations were stunning and there were plenty of opportunities to swim. Big thanks to mermaid cruises. I would definitely recommend xx

Beautiful - I highly recommend! Everything was top and well organized. But you can choose to stay at the blue lagoon and not go to gozo and it is better in summer because it is very hot. If you are by car you have to leave too early to find a place to park.

Great trip excellent value for money - Small boat which ment could go into caves to get good views. Blue lagoon is beautiful but busy. Only have a small amount of time in Gozo so of you want to see all the sites of Gozo I'd recommend a separate trip. They do offer a bus to centre of gozo and back for a small fee.

Great experience - I have had a great time during this tour, everything went great and instructions was followed by everyone on boat. Captain was helpful and professional, boat was not crowded and definitely one of the reason why we have chosen this tour. It is mentioned that there is WiFi onboard which technically is true but it will be a sharing data from the captain so please do ask if you need. Toilet on board as stated and if you need any additional information related to your tour just simply ask the captain for guidance instead of assuming whatever you can do while in other people’s country. Only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because I have requested informations in regard to safety measures on board but didn’t heard from tour organiser (captain) until tour started. Otherwise everything went well, friendly staff and will definitely recommend

Slow boat and Blue Lagoon is overrated - The boat was very slow. It was a very hot day, and I really could have done with a breeze. But no, we chugged along. The Blue Lagoon was to me just like any other beach. But crowded. The crew did warn us to go further around the path to find more secluded spots to swim, but to be honest, it was so damn hot, we just went it at the first bay. There is no shade at all.

Cheap and cheerful day out in Malta! - Would recommend for everyone and all ages as cheap and cheerful boat ride. The Blue Lagoon is an absolute must see if in Malta. I would recommend not going to Gozo and staying in The Blue Lagoon as this apparently was an option but when we booked we only saw this booking option. Gozo is great for a different day separate. The boat then stops near the caves and goes in one massive cave which was quite cool, but smaller boats do go further in. The boat was old and was very slow chugging along and this is why the trip takes the whole day. It wasn't very comfortable - we went in high season and it was crammed full to capacity. The seats were extremely uncomfortable for a whole day tour. It has inside deck for majority of passengers but you can also sit at the bow and on the top deck too - not many spaces in those places though. I would recommend getting there early as there were lots of people already waiting before half 9. I thought the on boarding of guests could've been handled better as loads of people had been patiently waiting but it was a free for all when they opened and people who had turned up at 9:50am managed to get on before people who had been waiting from before 9:30 am which I did think was unfair. They do sell cold drinks on the boat but I would recommend bringing your own lunch/snacks for the day or buying it at The Blue Lagoon. Overall a good day out for a decent price 👍🏻

Misleading description, old boat - Misleading description. Note that the biggest selling for this tour is that it goes inside the caves because of its small size, but in reality, there is just 1 cave the tour covers (or atleast during my time). And that too is not a cave, but more like a very small mouth of rock, think of concave shape. I.e you go about 10 meter inside, see the rock in front of you and then come back. Another thing you want to understand is, since it’s a old small boat, it moves very slow, have the shaking effect due to moves, and your stuff will get wet because boat is old and water easily enters inside.
