- Michalska Brana - This is the only remaining gate of the original four from the castle walls. It serves as an entrance to the pedestrian zone and historical center, and is a popular spot for street musicians and painters.
- St. Martin’s Cathedral (Dom svateho Martina) - This cathedral was the coronation site for kings and queens of the Kingdom of Hungary from 1563 to 1830. It is the largest and one of the oldest churches in Bratislava, and also the most significant. Nearby, there is a monument to the synagogue that stood next to the cathedral for centuries until it was demolished by the Soviet government around 1970 to make way for the new bridge, Nový Most.
- Slovak National Theatre - Built in the 1880s, this historical building is the oldest professional theatre in Slovakia and consists of three ensembles: opera, ballet, and drama. The building is designed in the neo-Renaissance style.
- Hlavne Namestie - The largest square in the city, home to the Old Town Hall. It is also associated with interesting facts about Napoleon. The square is surrounded by various palaces and is a popular location for New Year’s Eve celebrations, Christmas markets, Easter festivals, and more.
- Primates’ Palace (Primacialny palac) - This palace is famous for its Hall of Mirrors, where the fourth Peace of Pressburg was signed, ending the War of the Third Coalition.
