Wonderful Experience at the Museum + Teotihuacan - What a great experience! We took both the tour of the Museum of Anthropology and the tour of Teotihuacan with Un Joven Arqueologo and really recommend doing both - the tours complemented each other so well and we learned so much. My 11 and 13yo kids were so engaged. Pakalito was a truly a pleasure to spend the two days with and the communication was excellent throughout. It was the highlight of our trip to Mexico City - not to be missed.

Mexico City's Best Kept Tour Secrets - David is perhaps Mexico City's best kept tourism secret. We learned so much about the history of Teotihuacan, Mayans, and Aztecs because of David's insights and knowledge. You can feel the intense passion David has as an archaeologist and historian to unravel the secrets of these lost civilizations. We did other tours with other tour guides in Mexico City but David is a special breed of his own. We will continue requesting David for more tours whenever we travel back to Mexico City.

Special and enlightening day at Teotihuacan - My husband and I had the absolute best day with David 'Pakalito' at Teotihuacan. He is so incredibly knowledgeable on all things archaeological, as he's even dug at Teotihucan! You really get the behind the scenes tour, as well as all the theories and mythology. We love hearing about the up to date theories about different parts of the site, which sometimes contradicted the old signage - you definitely get an incredible tour with David.
For our day, he incorporated we wanted to be there for sunrise, and we left central CDMX very early, and got to watch the sun rise up over the Sun Pyramid. We then made our way down to the Moon Pyramind. We then visited a villa called Tetitla where we learned all about more domestic life in the Teotihuacan period, which was extra cool as David had dug there himself! We finished at the Snake Pyramind, and overall had really the most amazing day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend David for a really special experience.

10/10 Experience! One of the best tours I've ever done! - David was amazing! He has such passion for the subject and it shines through when he is explaining the history of Teotihuacan. He was very thorough and was always prepared to answer a question. He made our experience so much fun and kept things interesting. On top of giving us a fantastic tour, he also recommended a place to eat after which checked all the boxes for our group. Overall 10/10 experience and if you are ever going to explore Teotihuacan make sure you have Pakalito show you around!

Amazing experience, highlight of trip! - This tour with David was the highlight of our trip. We truly would not have appreciated the magnitude of visiting the pyramids without him as our guide. David offered a wealth of information and is also hilarious. You will learn and laugh a ton! He took awesome photos of our group with his 360 camera. We will definitely book another tour with him on our next visit.

Incredible trip to Teotihuacán with David - We had an incredible visit to Teotihuacán with David. We were 2 adults and 2 kids ages 9&12. David was incredibly knowledgeable, told the story and guided us in a clear and very engaging way. He kept the kids (and us engaged) for hours and made use of novel technology like photo-recreations and the VR goggles were a huge hit. He was incredibly patient with the endless questions from my son. One of the best guides we’ve ever had (and we’ve experienced many). Thank you David!

Fascinating, exciting, wonderful - This is more than a tour, David has worked excavating some of the sites we visited and brings an amazing wealth of knowledge, passion, and experience to talk about. His planned the day to work around our ideas, picking us up from the hotel, ensuring we could watch the sun rise above the sun pyramid with nobody else around - it was ethereal and beautiful. Any question we had there was a fully worked through detailed answer with evidence, acknowledging the limited aspects of the science with a lot of thought. David’s English is excellent and he diligently illustrated the feelings of people through the years living in the area. I highly highly recommend this day for people interested in a deeper learning and understanding of Mexico through the years.

Once in a lifetime tour of Teotihuacan - David's tour far exceeded my expectations.
We spent a full day with him at Teotihuacan and, a week later, I am still thinking about the tour and everything we learned from him. David isn't just a fantastic tour guide, but he is also an archeologist who has first-hand experience doing archeology in this area. It was so fascinating to hear David's insider details about the excavation of the area and the people who are studying its artefacts. Davi'd enthusiasm and love for the subject shone through during the entire (9 hour) day. He kept up his incredible sense of humour and wonderful attitude to the very last moment of our tour when he dropped us back off at our hotel. I have never been on a tour with a guide who has spent so much time preparing in advance and thinking through the structure, pace, and content of his tour in order to tailor it specifically to our needs. If you are looking for an elevated tour experience, I absolutely recommend David. You won't regret it.

Highlight of our Whole Trip! - David's tour of Teotihuacan was the highlight of our trip to Mexico. He is such a knowledgeable and engaging tour leader, but even more importantly, a really fun person to spend a whole day with, talking about Mexico past and present. He made a whole, customized tour book for our full day site visit, complete with photos of artefacts, excavations and renders of what the pyramids looked like painted; he has a VR set up allowing you to explore areas unopen to the public; and he is a pleasure to talk with as you explore the well know and lesser known areas of the site. Contact him to ask about private hotel pick up/transport from the city to the site if you'd like to avoid the drive yourself/the bus. Plan your whole trip to Teotihuacan around David's availability!

Book this tour if you want the best Teotihuacán experience - 100/10 - this tour was awesome. David is such a passionate and knowledgeable guide. Throughout the tour he was able to connect with each person, chat w them about their interests + what they’re curious about, which made it all that much more interactive + interesting. From the pyramids to exploring the palace, David brings excitement and a true understanding to each stop along the tour. Even if you’re not a guided tour person, this one is worth it.
Bonus points if you go to La Gruta after!!
