Futbol lover bucket list - I’m a futbol lover and this was in my bucket list since I was a kid. It’s an awesome experience to be inside in one of the most mystical places in futbol history. The pictures, the locker rooms, the press conference room and being on the pitch is an amazing experience. It’s too bad I couldn’t do the Flamengo game that you can also buy here in Viator, it’s actually cheaper than buying it at the box office

GOLAZO - What a morning we had at the world famous Maracana football stadium. Lots to see and do including a full history football shirts and foot pronts of all the famous and iconic players to have worn the gold and green. From the iconic 3 time winning team, after which they were able to keep the trophy and a new one made, players such as Garincha and Dida, who played just before, Rivelino, Jairzhino, Gerson, Carlos Alberto and of course the great Pele. Also great footballers such Socrates and Zico. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was also nice to re learn the fact that in 1950 the Maracana played host to the world cup final and although Brazil lost against Uruguay in front of a mind boggling 200000 crowd. The highlight of the tour was the penalty shoot out which my wife and I signed up for. Although I was not feeling 100⁵% I was not going to miss out on the opportunity of scoring a penalty at the Maracana. The penalty shoot out went well with my wife being able to say she scored a penalty at the Maracana 1 and myself who scored 3 and that was with knee leg and hip issues.Fantastic experience finished off with pitch side interviews and press conference. Would most definitely recommend for all ages and a must for any true football game. VAMOS Fernando Nieto scoring a Catterick of penalties at the Maracana visiting from London.

Maracana stadium and scoring penalties on the side pitch - This is an excellent tour and i loved the football history of Brazil especially Pelé. My only issue is the photographs. Luckily you get real printed off photos as the digital photos that were Whatsapp,d to you are blurred. I also never received the emailed version either so im confused why the digital images were poor but the prints good. Luckily. All in all a great morning out.

There was nothing... - There was nothing particularly bad about this tour. I mostly rated it a 4 because I'm not really a futbol (soccer fan), but I felt I would have been doing myself a disservice of not stopping by to take a look at such a famous Rio attraction. The stadium was historic, and we got to view and take pictures of some cool things. Our tour guide did a great job of giving me details about what his team had experienced in the past, since I don't really follow the sport. Great family experience, especially for those who love/appreciate sporting events aka soccer.

Field access but not much else - The tour was fine, nothing particularly exciting about it. Was cool to get to go field level and some of the displays inside were nice.

NOT a guided tour - This was described as a guided tour with an expert guide, when in reality you could walk in and join any group, and the “guide” didn’t give you any information. All he did was introduce himself and press play on a 3 minute long video. Then you were just left to walk through the tour path on your own and read the plaques on your own. There was no guide, and no one to explain any of the history or facts of the stadium. You are way better off just arriving to the stadium and buying your own ticket there. Very disappointed that this was advertised as a behind the scenes guided tour, and there was no guide.
