An Exceptional, Rain-Proof Tour of Rio with Junior and Camila - Our 10-hour private car tour of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was an extraordinary experience, thanks to our exceptional driver, Junior, and our knowledgeable guide, Camila. Despite the relentless rain, this tour exceeded all my expectations. Junior, our driver, was a standout star. His promptness in picking us up and dropping us off right at the entrances of various attractions was incredibly convenient, especially given the inclement weather. His driving was safe and efficient, navigating Rio's bustling streets with ease. Junior’s sense of humor was a delightful bonus, adding a lighthearted touch to our day. Camila, our guide, was a fountain of knowledge. Her insights into the history of Ipanema, Copacabana, and other iconic Rio locales were both educational and engaging. Her expertise shone through as she narrated the rich tapestry of Rio's past and present. The rain could have been a dampener, but Camila skillfully adjusted our itinerary, ensuring we missed nothing. Her ability to secure VIP entrances to all venues was nothing short of miraculous, allowing us to bypass very long queues, a perk that can’t be overstated. A highlight was our visit to the Christ the Redeemer statue. Just as the clouds parted, Camila and Junior navigated us there, turning a potentially missed opportunity into a breathtaking experience. Furthermore, Camila's assistance in upgrading our Carnival tickets was invaluable. She not only escorted us to the ticket office but also facilitated the transaction, ensuring we were not taken advantage of. This level of service was both unexpected and deeply appreciated. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this tour enough. If you're planning a trip to Rio and want an unforgettable experience, look no further. Junior and Camila will ensure your adventure in Rio is as exciting and seamless as ours was. Whether rain or shine, they’ve got you covered!

A fun, insightful tour of Rio - We had a wonderful day exploring Rio with Camila. From Sugar Loaf to Christ The Redeemer, Santa Teresa to the historic sights of downtown, we had a total immersion in the culture and history of Rio. Camila clearly loves what she does, which meant we had a first class tour tailored to the key sights we wanted to see. We also got to taste some great food and coffee along the way. A lovely day with a friendly, funny and informative tour guide and a great driver (Junior), who kept us on track and laughing throughout the day. We’d definitely recommend this tour if it’s your first time in Rio and want a lovely, knowledge guide to help you explore and enjoy this beautiful city.

A different route. Incredible experience!! - Highly recommended, we spent a few days in Rio with my wife and children, the private tour exceeded our expectations, we discovered a Rio de Janeiro that was beyond what we had expected, beautiful beaches of Barra de Tijuca, Prainha, etc. Also the pantanal near the island of Gigoia (with crocodiles, etc.), Chinese view, Taunay waterfall, Portuguese library, the Santa Teresa neighborhood, etc. The experience was incredible. Thanks for everything Camila!! Excellent guide.

The best tour possible of Rio! - My partner and I cannot give enough praise to this amazing tour: a tour de force! If you want to see nearly every neighborhood and most important sights for a first time visitor all in one day efficiently, with a local tour guide and a driver, this is an unbeatable deal and very much worth the cost. Camilla and our driver (nickname "Johnny Depp" for his style) were fully of energy and engagement the entire time, even when the tourists themselves were wondering how much more there was to possibly do (answer: a lot more!). We learned a lot of important history and facts. We had easy access to multiple views all to ourselves early on a Friday morning, and easy fast access to the Christus and Sugarloaf (in May--not peak season). Camilla decided on the order of things dynamically depending on weather and time of day. There are multiple things that I didn't even anticipate that were wonderful, like a walking tour of downtown (seeing the amazing library and cafe), going to a waterfall in Tijuca, a monastary, and even a little bit of a food tour sampling things at Bar Urca). She had water and local snacks/treats for us to try, took our pictures well at all the main sites, and kept things high energy. To do all these things ourselves would have taken twice as much time, less organization, and more money than the trip itself costs. Driving was very safe and controlled, we felt safe then entire time. We went on a food tour later in the weekend and they were amazed at how much we saw, it's like 2-3 days of stuff compressed into one. If there is anything you want to see more than just the quick look (like the Museum of Tomorrow) you can just come back on your own later.

Best tour coordinator ever and a guide who covered the highlights of Rio very well - I heartily endorse the almost unanimous 5.0 rating for Gregtur Turismo. They are absolutely outstanding! We were on a cruise and I was trying to set up a tour for 14 people, or 7 couples, five of whom contacted me through Cruise Critic and Facebook for that specific sailing. Fernanda, whom I was communicating with, to negotiate the prices, set up the tour, etc. is the best tour coordinator you can ever dream of working with. I had hundreds of questions and emails to her and she patiently responded to each one of them, very promptly, and respectfully. It was clear from my interactions with her that her primary focus was on us having a great experience with the tour, without any worries, versus a cold monetary focus as I generally come across in such situations. She is the absolutely best. Wish I could meet with her in person and thank her for an outstanding experience. Fernanda assigned us Bruno Sérgio as our tour guide. Bruno is an excellent guide. His English is good and he is easy to understand. Bruno was very helpful in navigating through the crowds and expediting the purchase of tickets, especially at Sugarloaf Mountain. He provided enough context, historical and otherwise, around the sites we visited, and even with long delays due to traffic, he was able to help cover a lot during our 10-hours. He was very considerate of the individual needs of his passengers. My wife was on a wheelchair and he made special accommodation and was always in front of helping her get on and off elevators and cable cars. I wish we were able to slow down or stop briefly for pictures (even if we did not get off the bus) at certain sites that we drove by, such as the Carioca Aqueduct. I realize we were short on time because of the traffic. Perhaps he could have shared more information on the history of the sites, and the city and culture of Rio and its various neighborhoods, to fill in the mostly quiet rides between sites. But overall Bruno did a great job in providing a comprehensive tour of Rio, especially given the traffic that day. We all felt that the value of the tour to what we paid for it was an outstanding bargain. It was so good!

Rio’s Major Highlights tour - We were 3 couples cruising South America on the Azamara cruise ship and booked a Rio City Tour with Greg Tours. Our fantastic guide Sergio was waiting for us at the port to greet us with a welcoming smile. He spoke English very well and was very friendly. The Mercedez mini bus was very nice and clean and seemed quite new with a very pleasant driver who unfortunately had very limited English. Sergio took us to all the major Highlights, at to the top of the Christ Redeemer statue, taking the funicular up to the top of Sugar Loaf, driving through the beaches of Copa Cabana and Ipanema, stopping to see the stunning Opera House, the view points of the Favelas, the famous Escadaria Selarón steps etc. We did all that and more without ever having to wait in any lines, Sergio seemed to have special passes. While we were driving through the city he would always point out certain buildings and parks with all their history. Sergio was also our designated photographer. He was very interesting and always spoke with lots of enthusiasm which never seemed rehearsed or repetitive. He planned our day extremely well stopping for lunch at the top of Sugar Loaf where the views were stunning! He was always super accommodating and very pleasant. Thank you Sergio for you all your good work and sharing your knowledge & love for Rio. 💕 We had a fantastic day!!
