Awesome tour! - First of all, a private tour is absolutely the way to go! It saved a ton of time picking up people from their hotels, and dropping back off since it was just our group. We had Flavio as our tour guide and he was amazing! Spoke both english and spanish, he was very knowledgeable, and even gave us tips where to go out at night! The driver johnny was awesome too! We got everywhere promptly, commnication was fantastic, information was abundant, and they were both so helpful! We saw all the best sites in rio and it was spectacular! Definately something special!! Thank you Flavio for the amazing memories!!

Great experience - highly recommend! - Wow what a great experience! From the time we booked the tour, communications with the tour company was excellent. Our tour started right on time from the cruise ship terminal and ended at the international airport at the time we had specified. Fabiana is an amazing tour guide and Marcello a great driver!! We saw all the popular tourist sights that were on our list and with Fabi's experience avoided the long line ups at Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf!! Her warm personality, general knowledge and fluency in English made for an unforgettable tour. She's also fantastic at taking photos!

All the Best of Rio and More! - Renata, our tour guide was engaging and knowledgeable! We saw everything we possibly could - the weather was wet and rainy - and despite limited visibility we were able to make our points of interest flexible so that we could get all the best experiences at the Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer Statues. We also saw many other points of interest including the Seleron Steps, Villa Santa Theresa, Copacabana Beach, Ipanema and so much more!! I would highly recommend this tour. Thanks to all!

Beyond Excellent - We have been travelling the world for over 40 years. In that time we have used all sorts of methods to explore. The is our first time with Viator. The Viator process was very good and helped us to arrange for our tour and to communicate with the operator regarding detail. Even before we travelled the operator was very helpful. Our driver was Marcelo with whom we had been exchanging communications. His English was excellent. His driving was excellent. He was courteous, friendly and helpful. He turned up promptly and was very flexible as to the itinerary but gave excellent guidance on what to do and when. The car was in excellent condition, clean and roomy. Rio as with most cities is of concern to visitors in terms of safety and finding ones way around. We felt very safe with Marcelo and got a very good feel for the city. Rio is the most amazing city and with Marcelo as our driver and guide we had the best day imaginable. It just exceeded our expectations and these were quite high. He dealt with the locals and gave lots of information about Brazil, Rio and the places that we visited which were both the famous ones but also some local colour. I cannot recommend Marcelo or Rio enough. Plus, the day before our tour it had rained for a lot of the day, but for our trip we had perfect weather. We are quite hard to please travel-wise, quite honestly there was nothing to complain about either with Viator or Marcelo. We will use them both again, and Marcelo and Rio have us wishing to return there.

Exceptional Tour with an Amazing Guide - Booking this tour with Be Free turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to South America. We scheduled this tour over a month in advance and as we approached the tour date, the weather forecast was for fog and rain. We contacted Marcelo to see if we could reschedule the tour for the next day and he was extremely accommodating. He was able to juggle his schedule a bit so that we had great weather for our tour of the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro. Touring with Marcelo was like having an old friend take you around the city. He pre-purchased all of the tickets and fast passes for the attractions so that we could utilize our time efficiently and see as much as possible. It all made for a stress free day of fun and adventure. His knowledge of this wonderful city and it's history was very impressive and we appreciated the cultural experience that this tour provides. The highlights of this tour included Sugarloaf Mountain where we saw beautiful views and a gorgeous sunset, the Christ the Redeemer Statue with more stunning views, the 250 colorful tile steps at Escadaria Selaron, the incredible Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian, as well as a number of viewpoints with spectacular views of the city. I took hundreds of photos to commemorate this unforgettable experience in Rio de Janeiro. The day could not have been any better and I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable day in Rio de Janeiro. From the pick up at our hotel to the drop off at the airport, the day could not have gone any smoother. Thank you Marcelo!!

Private Tour of Rio de Janeiro with Marcelo and Rafael - I’m so glad we booked this tour with Be Free! I’ve had been to Rio before, but never had the courage (or enough knowledge of the city) to wonder much by myself and kept to Zona Sul. This time I was able to see so much more, from iconic sites, to natural beauty to historic buildings downtown, to markets! It was a perfect day and It left me wanting to see and explore more, but next time! Marcelo worked directly with me via text and email and was extremely helpful in making suggestions based on my interests. Also, I was expecting to just have Marcelo with us, but instead we had Marcelo as the driver and Rafael as our guide. This makes soo much difference as we didn’t have to drive around looking for parking as they would leave us at the sites with Rafael while Marcelo would find parking. These two were so knowledgeable, so kind, laid back and so professional. I truly enjoyed my day with them and recommend to anyone looking to get to see more of Rio. Also, I felt so much safer walking around, taking pictures and shopping with them by my side. Thank you Rafa and Marcelo for the amazing day and for all the pictures as well! Great tour! - Excellent tour starting at 8am and running till 4pm. Flexible and customizable schedule let us focus on what we wanted to. Guide had excellent English, was very psersonable, and helped inform us about the culture and sites.
