This table was a favorite spot for Dom Pedro I, who would leave his residence at Quinta da Boa Vista and travel by carriage to Estrada da Vista China for a meal amidst one of the most breathtaking views.
Situated 487 meters above sea level, the Emperor’s Table offers breathtaking city views, blending urban and natural landscapes. Stairs encircle the parapet, leading visitors to the edge of a concrete ramp, creating a magnificent setting.
- Capela Mayrink - Pause briefly at this historic chapel. The charming pink chapel, nestled in the woods at 460 meters above sea level, resembles a storybook house. Built in 1860 by Portuguese banker Viscount de Souto on his farm in Tijuca Forest, the chapel is a highlight of Tijuca National Park. The altar features reproductions of panels with sacred images by Cândido Portinari. The gardens, along with the Carrara marble and tiled patio tub with a frowning spout, were designed by landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx.
- Cachoeira dos Primatas - Enjoy the scenic waterfall during your hike.
- Vista Chinesa - Experience a breathtaking view from the Tijuca Rainforest. At Vista Chinesa (Chinese View), capture panoramic vistas of Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, Guanabara Bay, and even Niteroi.
Constructed between 1902 and 1906, the oriental-style pagoda honors the Chinese who introduced tea cultivation to Brazil in the early 19th century.
Made from bamboo and cement, and located 380 meters above sea level, it is a significant tourist attraction in the city.
