• Capela Mayrink - Pause briefly at this historic chapel. The charming pink chapel, nestled in the woods at 460 meters above sea level, resembles a storybook house. Built in 1860 by Portuguese banker Viscount de Souto on his farm in Tijuca Forest, the chapel is a highlight of Tijuca National Park. The altar features reproductions of panels with sacred images by Cândido Portinari. The gardens, along with the Carrara marble and tiled patio tub with a frowning spout, were designed by landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx.
