The best from Rio - Thank you soo much to Junior! I have got amazing experience of the real life in Rio. Junior gave me a great view of life in Rocinha. He was so kind and flexible! He showed me all I was interested in and even more! It was a great fun! I can not recommend enough! If you are in Rio, its definitely must to do!

Brilliant! - Roberto was a fantastic guide, collected me on time from my hotel (as planned), he actually lives very close to Rocinha Favela, so knew exactly the best way to see and experience this area. He had organised scooters to give us a lift to the top, so we started with a coffee with the most incredible views. He is such a nice guy and shared with me the way of life of the favela as we slowly walked the tiny back streets and stairs back down, so so glad I got off the tourist path (as beautiful as Rio is) to also see this neighbourhood. Highly highly recommend this time and this tour. Thank you Roberto, I will never forget Rio! Amazing city.

A fascinating experience - Must see! - Excellent tour, with very friendly, knowledgable guide. Experienced the atmosphere, culture and street art in this vibrant community. Starting with an exhilarating ride to the top of the favela on a local motorcycle taxi, then wandering down through a variety of different streets, stopping at key vantage points for some amazing photo opportunities. Great tour and tour guide, definitely recommend!!! - Such an amazing tour AND tour guide! Junior shared his experience growing up in the Favelas and gave us an in-depth tour of the area. It was super well organized, informational, and fun! I especially like how this tour company is owned and ran by someone native to the Favelas who speaks the truth about this village. Plus he knew EVERYONE in the street and gave hugs and high fives to all, which made us feel safe.

9am tour EXCELLENT - Robert, our 9am tour guide was EXCELLENT. Humble, relax, knowledgeble,resourceful. Our main language is spanish so we speak Portuñol with him and everything was flawless (anyway google translator will help anytime). Robert picked us at our hotel, coordinated motorcycle ride up into the favelas, had a lot of small talk with us, did the walked tour, made everything seems effortless and make us feel so COMFORTABLE. From top to bottom of the Favelas we weren't worry about the safetyness but in case you wonder IS TOTALLY SAFE and ENJOYABLE. Don't hesitate and book this tour. Obrigado Roberto. vejo você em breve.

Very insightful tour with a great guide - We had a great time with Roberto. He was very knowledgeable, shared a lot of interesting insights while we were on the tour. He made the trip enjoyable both for the adults as well as our children.

Motorcycle ride, amazing view, walk, great food and sites - Junior is an amazing tour guide and a great person to hang out with for a day. This tour is a must for anyone visiting rio. We started with a motorcycle ride to the top of favela for an amazing view and then walked through the streets. There is so much to see I really recommend this experience to anyone!

Canadian in Brazil - I had a several hour tour through Rocinha with Jr., which was heavily personalized to cater to my own personal and professional interests. I was met at the outside of the favela, and our trip to the top on motor taxi was already arranged. We walked down the favela over the next several hours, zig zagging through the streets and narrow passages/alleys. We visited several businesses and interacted with a number of citizens. This was a respectful and informative tour. I want to stress that completely safe and comfortable throughout the entire tour. Pay little mind to what you read on the internet about Rocinha, this is a vibrant, kind community open to outsiders visiting. You are in good hands with Favela United Tours and I would strongly encourage anyone considering visiting Rocinha to do it with them.
