Great day adventure! - Was solo on this tour with Fábio and had an absolute blast! Pick up was prompt and right out front my hotel. The hike is TOUGH if u are not a typical hiker just fyi. It is majority uphill, unpaved with bigger rocks. Fábio was very encouraging and didn't mind me needing to take a few breaks along the way due to elevation change. Lots of bugs so definitely bring spray! Also bring water/juice and energy snacks...basically everything they text you. We got to the very top first and I was extremely grateful as I had a moment to enjoy the gorgeous view before taking pics. After taking a few on my phone I paid 20 reais to have the professional photographer take a few. Fábio did not push this in anyway just mentioned it was available but not necessary. The pics came out amazing! The photographer uploads them later in the day but he shows them to you on his camera and will retake/reposition u if needed! The descent down the mountain is much smoother. Once down the mountain Fábio asked if I wanted to still visit a nearby beach, I didn't bring swimwear just out of laziness but I put my feet in and enjoyed Grumari beach sooo much! The beach was hot and the water was soo cool, perfect after the hike! I had asked Fábio if he knew of any place to get fresh juice and he kindly stopped at a local stand for us to take a break. It was much needed and the coconut water was perfect!! He was the best guide sharing all kinds of information and knowledge along the routes we took as well as other suggestions of things to do/see on my visit. I at no point felt unsafe during the tour and highly recommend to anyone!!! Thanks again Fábio!

Unmissable - Highly recommend this trip for anyone looking to get out and explore beyond central Rio. The views are unbelievable and because you go so early when only few or no people are there it feels much more intimate. Went with Eric, who was super on it with the timings, which meant we were pretty much the first people there besides another couple just before the sun began to rise. He clearly loves doing the tour because he was fully of energy, very knowledgable and keen to show as many spots as possible. Even added a quick stop at a bonus beach on the way back. A highlight of my trip to Rio for sure!

Wonderful experience - The sunrise at Telegraph Rock was absolutely beautiful. The hike is steep but not too bad. The guide Samuel was very nice and took great pictures for me. It was one of the best experiences in Rio.

Great experience and tour guide, Felipe!!! - Amazing experience. I don’t like elevation but so happy I did this. Also, be prepared with a good camera to take some great shots and prepared for the hike 😊 Felipe was really wonderful and thanks again.

Unforgettable sunrise at Pedra do Telégrafo - Me and my boyfriend booked a hike to Pedra do Telégrafo. To our surprise, it was just the two of us and our tour guide Samuel, who I can describe as highly professional. He picked us up punctually at 5 am, which fit perfectly to get to the top of the hill shortly after a breathtaking August sunrise. Once there, he became a photography director and took the best photos of us in funny poses. He then took us to breakfast and later to Praia Grumari to spend a solid hour there. Finally he drove us around a several more beaches to finally drives us back to our hotel at noon. If you’re looking for a more personal experience with locals who are willing to share their knowledge and tips, Itaway Ecotours is the place.

It's worth it! - Great walk! Light track and beautiful view! We chose to take the tour with a guide and it was the best choice, because there is no signage on site. To take the photo on the stone and avoid the queue, I would recommend going during the week. We went on a Wednesday morning early and we went on Mondays in line, but soon other groups arrived.

Sunrise view 🌅 - Do the 3am sunrise hike !!!! Sooooo worth it!! Yes it’s early, but once the sun rises at around 5am you’ll have the rest of the day free!! The views were absolutely stunning. The worst part of this hike is the beginning just because of how steep it is going up. Other than that it’s fairly easy. Thalles was our guide and was very nice and knowledgeable. I forgot to mention we were like the first group at the rock other than some individuals who slept there. If you don’t go early you risk waiting in a long line for pictures rather than getting as many as you like 😉
