Excellent guide, history lesson and walk. - Renata was great! She chose an interesting walk, changing the original itinerary as it was so hot. Before we left the car park she gave us an interesting history lesson on Rio and Brazil. She even emailed to me the useful chart she used to explain the history. When we finished she dropped us off in a convenient location for our next adventure. I would definitely use this company again and would ask for Renata.

Some exercise with a lot of information - Very interesting and informative trecking in Tijuca Park. Our guide Ricardo was very good in telling about the history of Brazil and finding the connection in colonialism and the natural resources we encountered in the park. He turned out to have an academic background for history sciences, which I do not doubt at all. Personally, I enjoyed most of the historical information shared by him, but the tour also had fascinating experiences for our 8 year old son. One to mention being the huge bat cave and a shower in the waterfall.

A special adventure between history and nature - During our beautiful stay in Rio de Janeiro, the hike in the Tijuca forest was the classic icing on the cake. Our guide, Riccardo, was really good. Not only did she skilfully direct us into the forest, telling us the anecdotes about her but also taking us to enchanted caves and leading us through beautiful waterfalls that refreshed us. It's a really good adventure. Definitely to remember.

Tijuca Forest tour and hike - We had a great experience on this small-group tour/hike of Tijuca Forest, which is operated by Jungle Me. Alex, our tour guide, picked us up on time in front of our hotel and after picking up the other participants, we drove to the Forest for the hike/tour. Alex was very knowledgeable of the history and landscape of the Forest. He started our hike with an overview of Brazil's history and throughout the hike, he would point out flora and fauna that was interesting. Throughout the day we saw waterfalls, a cave, abandoned coffee plantations, and many other cool locations along our hike. The hike was not super challenging, although there were steep climbs at times. Fitness is required for this hike. Overall, would highly recommend this experience to anyone!

Awesome Tour, Awesome Company! - I found the Jungle Me website a few months before my trip and signed up for their email list. The site and the emails did a great job of explaining their various tours, and I booked the Tijuca Park tour the week I arrived. Everything about the tour is top- notch from beginning to end. They pick up and drop off at a huge variety of hotels throughout the city, and if you're doing AirBnb, you just choose the closest hotel. Our tour guide was Alex, and he was fabulous! He's funny, down to earth, and extremely knowledgeable. He gave a very informative presentation of the history of Rio before the hike and answered all of our questions throughout. He kept a pleasant pace and pointed out lots of interesting things along the way. I especially enjoyed the cave and the waterfalls. Overall, I feel I learned a lot, saw a lot, got my money's worth, and had fun doing it!
