Praca XV de Novembro - In Florianopolis Main Square we can observe and live the local social life under the shade of a giant fig tree
Praca Fernando Machado - In here we can observe the old dock and the statue of a local War Hero.
Mercado Publico de Florianopolis - In the Public Market there are local restaurants, souvenir shops as well as local fish and groceries.
Teatro Alvaro de Carvalho - TAC - This church was used as prison for the Federalist rebels in 1894.
Hercilio Luz - This Street hosts the local nightlife and happy hour moments.
Forte de Santa Barbara da Vila - This old Fortress is used today as a Museum for the Paraguaian War
KibelÃ¢ndia - One of the most traditional bars of Florianopolis, Kibelandia, is well known for Samba, Beer and Kibe. It is also close to other local bars that may be good options.

As a professional historian, I’m capable of revealing the lesser-known B-side narrative, the tale obscured by the elite. Our story doesn’t start with the initial Portuguese colonists. Instead, we begin with the Sambaqui Men, the indigenous group that first settled on the Island of Santa Catarina. Further, we elucidate the significant impact slavery has had in shaping the Brazilian Republic. Yet, we also take time to enjoy the present, congregating for a pint at a heritage local pub.

Old center of Florianópolis - The old center, Reservation good surprises. It is worth exploring the Museum, the Church, sitting in the square and enjoying the singing of birds. The ancient mansions remind us to think about the evolution of our history.
