Really lovely hike even when it was wet and cloudy - It was a fantastic hike. Led by Kent, our lovely tour guide, who was very knowledgeable and pointed out some edible plants and birds along the way and encouraged us to take a slightly more challenging route which was fun. The hike was classed as "moderate" but it was pretty easy for us as a relatively fit young couple.

Fabulous. - There was a lot of wind, but our guide, Kant, was fantastic. I recommend. We start at 8 and short and we end at one. Do not stop in winter

Amazing day, glad we did it! - The actual day went very well. The guide was on time and he was super friendly, he picked us up from our rental apartment. The company have equipment to borrow should you need it. We booked with them as we needed the transport there and use of crampons incase of ice. The guide was a lovely local man who was really easy to get on with, and he provided us with some interesting facts about the area which was really nice.
The hike itself wasn't too difficult and not very long, but was really icy so we were glad we had booked a guided trip for this. The weather held out and we had amazing views once up at pulpit rock and we had it to ourselves!
The company itself were not great at communication which was a bit frustrating. We were hoping for a confirmation at least the day before (at the least because it was forecast gale force winds and heavy rain so we were doubtful it was even going to go ahead. We tried emailing twice, and calling and got no response). Viator were great with trying to get communication from them, and we did get confirmation in the end, but don't expect anything from the tour company!

Incredible hike, amazing guide, just lacking on company communication - The actual guided hike, excellent. Communication prior to departure, poor!
We had booked this trip a couple months in advance via Viator, and had no confirmation email from the company itself. Even the day before, we thought we'd have some sort of confirmation, who the guide was, that they're picking us up at X time, especially as it was forecast heavy rain and gale force winds, we just wanted a bit of peace of mind (tried emailing and calling ourselves but had no response until 9pm!).
However, the guide was very punctual for pick up, he came out to our rental apartment, he was super friendly and helpful. He had lots of kit for us to borrow if we needed it. Throughout the hike he had lots of interesting things to say, and it was nice having general conversation with him. He was also great at taking photos of us all on Pulpit Rock. The hike itself was amazing , not very difficult but it definitely required crampons as it was very icy. We had Pulpit Rock to ourselves too !!
Overall it was an excellent experience, we needn't have worried about the lack of communication (just would have been nice). We are so glad we did it , thank you to Paul who was such a great and friendly guide!! (5 star to Paul, knocked a star off for the company communication).

Best for Experienced Hikers (Only) - This tour has its highlights, but it’s definitely best suited for experienced hikers who are confident navigating challenging terrain. While the views from Pulpit Rock are absolutely breathtaking and the route is stunning, some of the trails were slippery and felt quite risky.
The guide is very experienced and clearly an excellent hiker, but there was little to no sympathy for those who struggled at any point during the hike. You follow the guide, there’s not much interaction with them. If you’re not already comfortable with strenuous and potentially hazardous hiking conditions, this might not be the best choice.
It’s also worth noting that no food or water is included, so you need to bring your own. While this is mentioned in the exclusions, it’s not very prominently displayed in the description so I missed that, so be sure to prepare ahead of time to avoid going hungry the whole day. There are no shops to buy water from or toilets in the ENTIRE hike, which can last up to 8 hours for a round trip, so please plan accordingly.
All in all, this tour is ideal for experienced hikers who don’t need much guidance or support and are looking for a no-frills adventure to enjoy the incredible scenery of Pulpit Rock. For beginners or casual hikers, this might be a bit too demanding.

Recommended for people who don't have to hike - They asked me to cancel suddenly the evening before, even though I had spent 35 hours from Japan.
The guide in charge was inconvenient and the others were on vacation.
Of course, there is no compensation, and we can't contact them at all after that.
Recommended for those who think they don't have to go to Preikestolen.

canceled at the last moment - They canceled the hike the evening before, because they did not have enough participants. While I understand that they need a minimum number of people, the cancellation was way too late.

Cancelling at SHORT NOTICE - In line with some other terrible reviews, I too was unfortunately turned down 12hrs from the intended hike, without any specific reason.
Totally unprofessional and against what otherwise is well renowned Norwegian culture. The tour operators are only after making money at the expense of total neglect to the customers. No regard for money, but mainly the time that customers have here.
I will never book them again AND strongly suggest friends travelling from Korea to avoid them completely.
