Private tour - Had a wonderful 1/2 day private tour with Bonnie. She took me and my husband to Stellensbosch, shared lots of information about the area and arranged 2 wine tastings for us. Would definitely do this again. It was like being driven around by a friend.

Fantastic wine tasting! - Our guide was very knowledgeable and checked in with us regularly. He was present throughout the day. He knew our names and made us laughing loved the wine tasting experience but the most special part of the day was when he sang a song to us in his native language. Do amazing!

A Great Experience! - We had a nice experience. Eddie was an excellent guide and was a wealth of information. The choice of wineries was also good.

Great Experience - This wine tour was such a great experience in the perfect amount of time. We were picked up on time and our guide was so friendly, knowledgeable and funny. We visited 2 wineries. The tour was shared with people from different parts of the world. Overall fantastic experience and highly recommended.

Nice but hard to hear due to other noises - The trip to the two locations was good. The wines were different than US but ok. The sound system in the guides van was not great - too much echo so it was hard to understand him in the van. The time allowed in the village was only 10 min - too short. The vinyard tour guide in the cask area was hard to hear because of the cooling fans. Then the tour in the tasting room was confusing because of the loud patrons at the table next to ours - they should have located us at a table a little farther away when it was obvious they were having a very good time.

Felt a bit rushed with limited wine yards venturing experience - Our halfday trip to Stellenbosch winelands was just a little bit below our expectations. As we are not big on wine drinking, we were thinking that a full day tour would have been too much, but with more information we would probably opt out for it instead. First, pick up times seemed to not have been communicated properly, we were picked up 30 minutes earlier than our ticket suggested, and there was another person that 'wasn't ready on time' so our guide asked him to take an Uber to the first winery. At both wineries, the tables were not ready when we arrived, and waiting times to be seated, for setting up the table and between wines were quite longer than the whole group expected (this is probably not the reflection of the tour organiser, but it didn't seem like our guide was surprised so it might be a regular occurence). With all that, we had no time at all to walk around the winelands, and even the driving tour around the city of Stellenbosch was very short with no stops or historical information. Finally, the wines were also underwhelming, which might have been a result of time limitation and choosing wineries closer to the city. Overall, if you are looking to experience the atmosphere and tastes of South African winelands, I strongly recommend to take a whole day tram tour instead. If you are in a rush and can only dedicate half a day to it, self driving to the best winery might also be for you. We met some nice people on this tour, and got to taste wines in pairing with both cheese and biltong, but we believe there is more to Stellenbosch winelands and we would like to come back for a more extensive tour.

Terrible - I booked this half day trip for a 13.30 pick up. By 13.45 I still hadn’t been collected and I’d had no correspondence. A different tour with the same operator arrived and as I couldn’t get hold of anyone made some calls. My driver finally turned up 45 minutes late and told me they had forgotten to add me to the tour list. We only went to 2 locations, the first was so noisy, we could hardly hear our sémillon, the second we were just left to work it out, the museum was closed, and the bus was like a sauna despite asking for the heating to be turned off. I had a meeting at 18.30 and had allowed an hour between getting back and my meeting in case there was traffic. At 17.20 I asked our driver what time he thought we would get back he said 17.30. We were an hour away from the city and hadn’t finished our tastings. So that certainly wasn’t happening. I decided to make my own way back, missing two wines and the pairings., so I could make my evening meeting. I requested a partial refund to account for missing wines, the delay, and making my own way back, but the operator African Eagle Tours, refused. Really, really poor

Low quality wine - The tour took us to a different winery. All wines we tasted were low quality. The tour guide was kind but I can’t recommend this tour.
