- Chaukhi Pass - Trekking to Chaukhi Pass 3431 m starts and ends in the village Juta, which is 20 km from Stepantsminda. We will go there by 4x4 car from our office. We will return in the same way.
Juta is the highest situated village in our region. On the way, we will stop by the mysterious statues that we call the Georgian Easter Island and in the most important village of the region, which is Sno because Georgian Patriarch comes from there. After commuting to Juta, we will do a trek under the Chauchi massif, which is called the Georgian Dolomites and then we will reach the Chaukhi Pass.
This trekking is not technically difficult, but it is a long day (8-9 hours of trekking), so you have to be fit enough. You should take water and snacks. You must be prepared for changeable weather. Bring a jacket and something in case it rains. You must also have trekking shoes. The time spent in the car is 1 hour and the trekking time is 8-9 hours.
