- Stirling Castle - Begin your journey with a pick-up from your accommodation in Edinburgh and travel across the breathtaking Forth Road Bridge. Here, you can admire the historic Forth Railway Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to 1890. Continue through picturesque landscapes on the way to Stirling, where you can enjoy the magnificent view from the elevated Castle grounds, which also includes The Wallace Monument. Please note, the tour does not include entry into the Castle itself.
- Trossachs - After departing from Stirling Castle grounds, head north/west through Doune and Callander towards the Trossachs, located on the edge of Loch Lomond. This stunning region is a must-see. Here, you will have the opportunity to meet the famous “Highland Coo’s”—a visit to Scotland wouldn’t be complete without capturing a photo of these majestic creatures. Continue your exciting journey northwards.
- Glencoe - Leaving the Trossachs on the banks of Loch Lomond, travel north through some of the country’s most beautiful scenery at the Glencoe Mountain Resort. Near the renowned Three Sisters, you will have the chance to see and photograph the iconic White House in Glencoe. Once a Crofter’s House, it is now owned by the National Trust and Scottish Mountaineering Club, nestled at the base of the dramatic Buachaille Etive Mor.
- The Three Sisters - A short distance from The White House, you will encounter the famous Three Sisters, officially known as the mountain peaks of Aonach Dubh, Beinn Fhada, and Gearr Aonach. This area is also known for the Glencoe Massacre, where 38 members of the Clan Macdonald were tragically killed by the Clan Campbell, who had previously sought refuge with them.
- Glencoe Visitor Centre - Located a short distance from the village of Glencoe, this eco-friendly visitor centre offers several attractions, including a man-made replica of a Turf-Creel house. The glen was once home to many Highlanders, and you can experience how the MacDonalds of Glencoe lived in the 17th-century turf and creel house reconstruction. This unique display of traditional building crafts can be admired at the mountain viewpoint just outside the visitor centre.
Discover the filming locations of various blockbuster movies, including Harry Potter, Outlaw King, The 39 Steps, Braveheart, Rob Roy, and Skyfall.
- Ben Nevis - Relish a traditional Scottish lunch at one of Scotland’s most scenic restaurants, located at the foot of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the United Kingdom. Capture stunning photographs of the area.
- Loch Ness Region - Travel north towards Fort Augustus, situated at the southern end of Loch Ness. Here, board the Cruise Loch Ness boat to enjoy breathtaking views of Loch Ness and its surroundings, including Cherry Island, the loch’s only island, and a loch-side view of the striking Fort Augustus Abbey.
And, of course, don’t miss the chance to spot the legendary “Nessie”…
- Cairngorms National Park - On the return journey south via Spean Bridge, enjoy a scenic drive through the Cairngorms along the banks of the River Spean and Loch Laggan. Then, join the main arterial road south, A9, at Dalwhinnie. Continue through Tay Forest Park on the way back to Edinburgh.
