Navigate the bends of the mangrove rivers and paddle across shallow waters, affording an easy view of the Keys’ geological makeup and its dwellers from the convenience of your kayak. This outing grants a close-up experience of the mangrove ecosystem and its diverse aquatic life including tropical fish, crabs, starfish, jellyfish, sea cucumbers, sponges, and an array of water birds. Each journey offers a distinct adventure! Swimming proficiency is mandatory for all participants. Facilities to change clothes available on location. No storage lockers provided, but belongings can be left back at the paddle shack. Novices welcome!

Wonderful Kayak Tour - Wonderful customer service. Our kayak guide, Leah, was such a friendly and informative lady. Ask for her if you decide to do this tour. She had the group with the most kids, my daughters felt confident with her. Leah definitely knew the mangrove ecosystem well and we learned a lot from her. We highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to learn and have fun in a kayak!

Best Kayak Tour Experience in Key West (great for families) - We had a fantastic experience with Lazy Dog Kayak tours! Heather T. was our guide and I cannot say enough good things about her. She was knowledgeable and kind. She made every single person feel comfortable and included. She spotted some very cool sea critters for us and even some manatees. I especially loved the way she made sure to pick up any trash or debris she saw in the water. She inspired my kids to do the same. This was, by far, the best experience we have ever had on a kayak tour. We will definitely book a tour with Lazy Dog Kayak tours in the future and hope that we get Heather T. again.

What an amazing time! - The tour was better than expected with a great guide, amazing mangrove tunnels, and we even got to see some sleeping nurse sharks! Highly recommended and well worth the price.

Hubby & me & a manatee - Really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the area and its inhabitants. At one point, we gathered our kayaks together to hold a small jelly fish (without stingers) and a sea cucumber. There was even a manatee who swam with us. (Our guide took a photo and sent it to us.) Highly recommend!

Great tour. Try it 👍 - That was a really great tour. Sarah had a lot to explain and always kept an eye on all participants. I felt in good hands and safe at all times. The brief rain shower while we were at the mangroves made everything even more authentic. I can highly recommend the tour. Thanks again to Sarah 🤝🙋♂️
