Good excursion and good guide - Freedom, nature, and peace were the beautiful sensations of this boat trip . We were accompanied by a guide, Mr. Jerry, who gave us interesting information about monuments in Stockholm, the archipelago and the Isle of Vaxholm, beyond being extremely kind.

Recommend - but improvements needed - This tour experience started out very poorly - however, our excellent guide Dominic did a wonderful job turning things around and save the day. When we booked the tour in person the day before, the manager did not tell us that we would be traveling on a public ferry - this wasn’t necessarily a problem, but he should have disclosed this detail. Additionally, he told us the tour included a 30 min live guided tour at Vaxholm and then we would have an hour to explore before the boat returned. When we arrived (15 min later than expected), we were told that we would only have about 20 minutes before returning - but if we wanted to stay longer we could take a later ferry at OUR expense. After our group expressed extreme disappointment - the guide called the manager and our time at Vaxholm was extended for two hours and we were not required to pay for a new ferry ticket. I believe this tour is new and it will take some time to smooth out the process. I appreciate that the manager ultimately did the right thing. I RECOMMEND this tour and I especially recommend guide Dominic - he did a wonderful job. I expect SKS will continue to improve the visitor experience so give them a try.

don't waste your money... - A waste of money. The guide initially made a few interesting comments, but the boat is part of public transportation and costs 42sek if you go by yourself, kids are free. When we arrived guide insisted on the fact that if we wanted to go back with him, we should be at the meeting point on time, otherwise, we could stay but then would pay the way back. On the island he gave us a tour of 10mn and then ciao ! He wasn't there on time, boat arrived, he wasn't showing up ! the queue was really long and the other members of the group were as worried as us. Finally, we decide to pay and get into the boat. The guide then arrived, very silently and we got into the boat as thieves. He didn't apologise and made himself quite inexistant ! Better to do it on your own !!!

dont waste your money - Don't waste your money by booking this tour. Get on the boat and pay the boat owners for the journey to Vaxholm and back. The trip was a total disadter and a waste of money. Rushed, didn't get what we were promised, dreadful person, can't actually call him a guide who had no organisational skills whatsoever. Dreadful, dreadful and totally streeful

Mis sold trip - We booked this tour and understood that the boat would also have the general public on board. It was booked for 11.00. The guide, if you can call him that turned up 15 minutes beforehand, looking totally disshelved and his fly down on his trousers! By this time the queue was so long for the boat, we weren't going to get on the boat we had booked for. So, we had to wait for a further hour in the hot sunshine for the next boat. We got on the boat and the guide told us he would give us the tickets, so that we could get off of the boat. We went to the exit and were not allowed off as we had no tickets, but on the dockside was the guide ready to walk off on his so called tour of the island. All he talked about was himself and how long he has to wait in the ice cream queue! He told us the time we had to meet to get the return boat and from what landing number. It turned out that he had the wrong number and we had to then get to the other landing and queue behind a long queue!! He argued with the boat people and somehow they agreed we could get on the boat. He tried to tell us it was for free. We told him that we had actually paid for a return trip and he was so rude and insisted we had a free return journey?? The man was totally incompetant, rude and useless. It was a very stressful trip, which should have been an enjoyable time. Totally missold, total joke. I urge anybody who reads this to not book the trip and waste their money

Got yelled at for their guide ghosting a group of guests - If I could give this tour company zero stars I would. We arrived 35 min early to exactly where we were told to go. No boat. No guide. No one. Finally a rude little man named Johan turned up and informed us the guide “decided to leave early” and said it was our fault we were left as we weren’t early enough. 35 min early waiting at a dock without a person in site? There were 2 others waiting with us who experienced the same issue. Horrible customer service and horrible communication. I would recommend you stay away from this company (STS/STK) and book directly with Stromma on the dock. Ruined our last day’s plans in Stockholm. Do not book!!

Tourist trap. - Avoid. The boat is part of public transportation and costs 42sek if you go by yourself, kids are free. They guiding on board is against the rules and the headsets with battery are usually dumped in the waste bin and not recycled properly.
