Highlights

Visit some of Sweden’s most iconic castles on this 8-hour castle tour. Join an expert guide as you explore three castles, all rooted in 1600-1700’s Sweden. Pickup and drop-off at cruise port or hotel are included if within 5km of Stockholm central station.

  1. Visit Royal Drottningholm, established in 1699, an UNESCO World Heritage site, along with two other castles.

  2. Wenngarn, once home to Gabriel De La Gardie, one of Sweden’s wealthiest men who died here as a poor noble after the famous reduction.

  3. Enjoy lunch in Sigtuna, the oldest city in Sweden.

  4. Skokloster, a castle given as a morning gift to Carl Gustav Wrangel’s wife. This well-preserved museum showcases silver, art, and family drawings. (Note: Skokloster is closed during most of the low season, so a guided tour of Stockholm Castle is included instead during that period.)

These castles are extremely well-preserved, with the last two being lesser-known hidden gems full of fascinating stories.

In all these places, the most famous Swedish nobles of their time visited. Both cruise ship and hotel pickup are included if your hotel or cruise ship is within 5km of Stockholm central station.

Quirky, informative, and so worth it - We were picked up at our hotel on time in a small van and had a total of 7 passengers. We explored a park with Viking runes, a castle with our personalized tour guide, and explored sitting! It was a lovely experience and our tour guide really made it personal including choosing places to stop and eat together, time to sit, walk, and explore. She was very knowledgeable with lots of fun facts and provided a great time for everyone!

Vast., overpowering but worth visiting - Huge and awesome. Joy dies within you with every room! Is this vast place really a living working building? This is worth visiting if only for the superb underground display. The carriage museum is a triumph
