• The Green Trails - After preparing at the base camp, the group will set off to explore one of Stockholm’s most stunning hiking locations, either a National Park or Nature Reserve, depending on the snow and weather conditions.
  Upon arrival, there will be a short tutorial on the use of snowshoes, ice cleats, binoculars, and forest etiquette.
  The hike will proceed at a comfortable pace through the captivating Swedish landscapes. The guide will provide insights into the local flora and fauna, as well as bushcrafting and navigation techniques.
  If the lakes are frozen, there may be an opportunity to cross them under the guide’s supervision.
  Participants will work together to build and light a campfire, where a warm and delicious lunch will be enjoyed. By the end of the day, everyone will return to the base camp, refreshed and invigorated by the experience in nature.

Embark on a snowshoe journey through Sweden’s winter paradise, departing from Stockholm. Just a short distance from the bustling city center, discover tranquil, snow-laden forests, observe wildlife tracks, and traverse frozen lakes, all amidst stunning winter scenery. Throughout the adventure, the guide will provide knowledge about the local ecosystem, forest navigation, and bushcraft techniques. Participants will also have the opportunity to ignite a fire from scratch using a flint, enhancing the authentic wilderness experience of this unforgettable excursion.

• It’s an active excursion so dress accordingly. Footwear should also be appropriate (boots, waterproof sneakers…)
• Please remember that the weather conditions are out of our control, and there is no snow guarantee. However last winter (January - March 2024) we only had one excursion without snow!
• This is a winter hiking excursion. If the snow level demands the use of snowshoes we will use these. Otherwise we use ice grip cleats under the boots.
