Highlights
• Kungsholmen - If you translate Kungsholmen, it translates as Kings Island. The island of Kungsholmen first got its name in 1672. Today, the island is known as the youngest part of town. It has the highest number of single households.
• Stockholm City Hall - The City Hall is one of Sweden’s most famous buildings and was built in the style of the national romantics. With its three golden crowns at the top of the tower overlooking the shores of Lake Mlaren, it is also an important part of the city skyline.
• Ralambshovparken - The park is 110.000kvm, and its central and attractive location means it is used by people all year round.
• The Western Bridge - The bridge was inaugurated in 1935 and runs between the islands of Sdermalm and Kungsholmen. The Stockholm Marathon crosses the bridge twice.
• Reimersholme - Reimersholme is a small island with a few thousand people living on it. The island has a long history of making both legal and illegal alcohol.
• Langholmen - Lngholmen is one of the greenest islands in the city and a popular recreation area. Here you can go swimming, watch outdoor theatre,
enjoy a good meal and have a look at the prison museum to name
but a few things.
• Sodermalm - Sdermalm is the largest of all the islands that make up Stockholm, and for the majority of Stockholm’s existence, it has been
the home of the poor and the working class. Not anymore! Today the hipsters have well and truly transformed Sdermalm into a trendy place to live, work and play.
• Skinnarviksberget - The highest natural point in central Stockholm, Skinnarviksberget, is 53 meters above sea level and a favourite place among the locals for picnics and parties under the open sky. The views are stunning
across the water, you can see Kungsholmen, Gamla Stan and Stockholm City Hall.
• Mariatorget - Home to Hotel Rival where ABBA was first seen together after their
breakup in 1983, for the premiere of Mamma Mia the Movie on July 4th, 2008.
• Mosebacke Torg - Mosebackestorg, a quiet square where the theatre, Sdra Teatern, offers the most popular biergarten in Stockholm during the summer.
• Gotgatan - Gtgatan turns in to Gtgatsbacken and is the main pedestrian street of Sdermalm, or Sder, as it has been established that’s what the locals would say.
• Slussen - Slussen translates to “the lock” and the reason for the lock is the difference in water level. Two bodies of water surround Stockholm: there is Lake Mlaren on the one side (west) and the Baltic Sea on the other (east). Lake Mlaren is approx. 70cm higher than the Baltic Sea.
• Riddarholmen - Riddarholmen, “The Island of Nobility” complete with Stockholm’s oldest preserved building, the Riddarholmen Church, and a favourite view overlooking Lake Mlaren and the west side of Stockholm.
• Stortorget - Stortorget is the main square of Stockholm’s Old Town and the best place to begin your explorations of the Old Town.
• Royal Dramatic Theater (Kungliga Dramatiska Teatern) - Dramaten, from Bergman to Skarsgrd, many famous Swedish actors and actresses have worked or performed here.

Stockholm bike tour - Marc! Thanks for a great cycling tour of Stockholm. Fascinating presentation of the history, commerce and demographics of a great city. From the history of the city to its citizens today Marc kept us riveted, rolling and laughing. Would take this tour with Marc again in a heartbeat and will DEFINITELY recommend him to our friends.

Great way to see the river and city - We took this excursion as we walked off of a cruise ship. We had a wonderful time exploring the city and our bike guide even took us down to the riverside to get some very unique photos. There wasn't a lot of traffic and it was an easy ride. I would definitely do this again.

We appreciated his commitment to explain the Swedish heritage, culture and spirit of Stockholm, all the while aware the active pace necessary to cover the scope within the allocated 3-hours. We felt the relaxed pace amply met our needs. He always was looking to exceed our expectations! We felt quite comfortable with him and would recommend his services to others in the future. This was my favorite tour in Stockholm... -
This was my favorite tour in Stockholm! Lisa was an excellent guide. Easy to understand, knowledgeable and fun - all with a cold! If you enjoy being outdoors and are in reasonably good shape you should definitely do this tour. It gives you a great view of so many areas and is really helpful in getting oriented to the city. I would recommend doing this as your first tour in Stockholm. The great thing is you have use of the City Bikes for two more days after the tour!

This was a fun tour and the guide... -
This was a fun tour and the guide was great. Special bonuses: the bike was good for a 3-day rental, so we got it for much longer than the tour; surprise karaoke event in front of the ABBA hotel; the guide treated us to a "fika" (Swedish coffee/pastry break).
