The Viking Museum - In the vivid exhibition you will meet the Vikings through movies, scenery, projections and sound effects as well as archaeological objects. Knowledgeable guides in Viking gear will answer all your questions and the many replicas let you explore life as a Viking with all your senses. You will learn about the Viking raids, journeys and mastery in ship building as well as the everyday life at the farm. The Norse mythology is present everywhere and here myth meets truth.
Ragnfrid’s saga is a Viking ride where you get to follow along on a trip to the Viking Age. The journey begins at Frösala Farm with Ragnfrid and her husband Harald. Then you proceed to go on a journey where you witness plundering in the west and slave trade in the east. With sounds, light and atmospheric environments you travel through the 11-minute journey that is told by Ragnfrid herself.

A must for Wickie fans 😁 - Greatly made, loving presentation of the circumstances and trade routes of the time. Very interesting explanations on a small guided tour. Definitely worth a visit despite the small exhibition compared to the VASA Museum.

It's a must - A unique experience enriched with interesting information about the vikings era. The last part of the museum, the ride, was unexpected but a very nice surprise.

Interesting - Premise: I am a history buff.
The Viking period fascinates me, for several reasons. I found the visit interesting, interactive and with different explanations and curiosities. At the end there is the opportunity to take a ride to discover a story, of which I do not anticipate anything...
Since I discovered the existence of this museum, I put it on my personal wish list, and I'm really glad I could visit it.
Also shortly after our entrance a Guided Tour began (in English) with a museum guide, dressed in Viking clothes. The visit lasted 20 min and was pleasant. To be included in the MUST-SEE list if you plan a holiday in Stockholm. The price of the visit is not exorbitant and is included in the Stockholm card.

Fun visit - We had a GoCity pass and this was one of the included attractions.

Nice Museum - We enjoyed this overview of life as a Viking. The museum was informative. It only took an hour t go thru it, including a ten minute indoor boat ride. If you have extra time, this museum would be an interesting stop. It is a short walk from the ABBA museum.

Good day out for adults and kids - We were surprised how good this was with lots of fun things for kids. My son who is 6 loved the adventure of finding the Norse letters and then the fun interactive ride through the story book. Staff were nice and a good day out

Europe 24 Holiday - Booked our tickets online from Australia. Easy and friendly check in. The attraction at our visit had heaps of people. Gr8 static displays with a good level of history. Ended our visit with their ride about a viking family. Restaurant and gift shop on site. Enjoyed the history side of things. Staff very friendly.

Caught between two stools - I was disappointed by the museum that seemed to fall between two stools. Initially the pitch appeared to a cultural museum, which was certainly my understanding of the website. For me this was insufficient, so less than the Jorvik museum in York for example which shows a Viking city very powerfully. Then it drifted into folklore with modern descriptions of the gods and goblins, which I didn't enjoy. The ride at the end was entertaining, although implicitly sexist of the henpecked husband going on a Viking quest at the insistence of his wife. I liked the geographical spread, showing where the Vikings travelled to. Interestingly it seems that the Swedish Vikings headed to Russia rather than Britain and I wonder if that more focused and niche museum might capture more interest. I can see the museum is playing to different audiences but not one currently to prioritise on a weekend to Stockholm.

Boring - Boring, more reading to do than things to do/see and it was really small. It was just a room with a ride at the end that took you through someone’s life as a Viking. This museum really needed more to do. Wouldn’t visit again.
