Commence with a pleasant drive taking you across the city’s key attractions, providing a comprehensive snapshot of Stockholm. The journey leads to The Royal Domain of Drottningholm, Sweden’s first UNESCO World Heritage site. Initially constructed in the late 17th century, the castle underwent an interior makeover on the behest of Queen Ulrika Eleonora, transforming it into an exquisite 18th-century northern European royal residence modeled after the Palace of Versailles. The site also features an impeccably preserved theater from 1766, an impressive Chinese pavilion from 1770, and a splendid baroque garden. Currently, it serves as the permanent dwelling of the reigning royal family, making it an indispensable visit when in Stockholm.
