Immerse yourself in the quaint villages and beautiful scenery of Alsace on this full-day tour from Strasbourg. With your expert guide, drive through rolling, vine-coated hills to explore the picturebook town of Colmar and cobbled village of Eguisheim. Then, delve into the medieval, walled village of Riquewihr and follow the famous Alsace Wine Route. Continue to your last stop at the fairytale-like, 12th-century fortress of High Koenigsbourg. Numbers are limited to eight people on this small-group tour, so you can enjoy an in-depth experience.

Breathtaking views and picturesque places - An absolutely terrific day out - I’m so pleased we booked this. Magical little villages, and the most magnificent castle at the end of the trip. Thierry was a fantastic guide, enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable. We visited the castle at sunset and on a day when it sat above the clouds, resulting in breathtaking views from the top. Fun time! Lots to see! - Thierry (so sorry, I may have misspelled your name!) was awesome. He was so excited to show us around each town and he gave us history and background stories along the way. Thank you! By the end of the tour we were all on a first name basis and we really felt right at home. Thanks for an enjoyable and energetic visit! We appreciate the hospitality.

Great Tour of the Alsace Region - Great tour! I highly recommend this tour for the scenery, information and knowledgeable guide. Robin, our guide gave a running commentary about the history of the region and what we could expect to see it the first stop - the village of Colmar. As we walked through Colmar, Robin pointed out different historical and informative sights. After a short ‘free time’ to view the village, we were off to Eguisheim.
While driving, Robin told us about Eguisheim and some of the interesting facts that were very entertaining. Make sure you have your camera ready as the sights were amazing (no spoilers here).
After Eguisheim we were off to Riquewihr for lunch. With Robins recommendation we ordered Tarte Phalmbee for lunch. Really good choice. This was also a great place for photos and time to shop. Don’t miss the Christmas Store (Kathe Wohlfahrt) towards the top of the town.
Our last stop was Koenigsbourg Castle (be prepared to walk up several hundred stairs in various parts of the castle - it wasn’t built for handicap access. One person stayed down at the coffee shop while the rest of us toured the castle with Robin). Robin gave excellent comments and historical facts throughout the tour. Then it was a scenic, though rainy, drive back to Strasbourg. One note: Several members of our group took a train from Paris for this tour and had an issue getting a taxi from the train station to the meeting spot. If you are coming from Paris, take into account, especially if someone is mobility impaired, transportation from the station to the meeting spot.

Magical escape to a fairytale land - Our guide was so knowledgeable and personable. Helped us to understand the history of the area…it is complicated! Wonderful pace and length to cover this area. Of course each area was so picturesque…we wanted to stay a week to see all the unique areas. Perfect escape from the real world.

Great tour - one of our best days in France - We throughly enjoyed this day trip with Jerome. He was very knowledgeable about the area, and shared great information and history about each town we visited; yet gave us time to explore, eat lunch, and shop. We loved our tour of Haut Koenigsburg castle. It was just the right length and very interesting. Jerome gave us great suggestions for restaurants for that night and we could not have asked for a better experience.

Great experience and learned so much! - Robin is an amazing tour guide! His depth of knowledge of the historical context of Colmar, Eguisheim, Riquewihr, and Haut Koenigsbourg Castle was unparalleled. He presents interesting facts in a fun, humorous way. A highlight of our visit to Alsace - We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the picturesque towns of the Alsace region. Our guide, Robin informed us of the history, traditions and cuisine of this unique area of France. The visit to the fully restored castle with its wonderful views and furnishings was well worth it.
