Fascinating building with helpful guides - Really interesting both the information and guides knowledge. The lady downstairs was lovely, giving lots of insightful information. The chapel and the Court of yesteryear was fascinating. Amazing how the school room is still in use.

Interesting and interactive. - The schoolroom was the saviour of our trip to Stratford. After getting caught up in a group tour at his house and it feeling like being on conveyor belt with no time to look at anything, the school room was joyfully relaxed (and cooler on a boiling day). Our first guide was absolutely brilliant in making the downstairs an exciting experience with loads of interesting facts while upstairs the schoolmaster was superb at explaining the education system. My mind was blown! We loved sitting at desks and writing with a quill and the interactive table was a wonderful touch, very moving to put faces and stories to the initials carved into it. Highly recommend.

Inspirational. - Our visit to Shakespeares schoolroom was really good, better than I expected. All the staff were interesting . The best part was the teacher . He was inspirational. I wish schools and teachers were like that today.

Fun, educational, interactive - This was the most fun activity we did in Stratford. It was interactive, covered multiple periods of history, and included hands-on exhibits. The guides (including an actor who was quite good!) were all extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to help us all learn at our own pace. It wasn’t available the last time my husband and I visited Stratford, and we are so happy we found it this time. We would definitely recommend it for all age groups.

Well intentioned - The building is authentic and comes with a very rich history. It is still in use for educational purposes as it is adjacent to a fully functioning school. The guide who met us at the entrance showed us various films describing the importance of the building over the years. Unfortunately we were then subjected to the Master Thomas Jenkins portion of the tour. Here you supposedly are experiencing what the Bard did in his formative years but I seriously hope not. This was a word salad of random references to plays, dates, cultures, and who knows what other ricocheting thoughts came down the pike. No thread that could be followed whatsoever and this opinion expressed by me a veteran educator with 35 years experience. Without any inkling of when you may be set free you must pray for another group to come along allowing you your leave. Well intentioned but falls far short, sad to say.

Just ok - Historic place, but not really a whole lot going on. Yes, it’s still a functioning school so that kind of limits it somewhat, but there’s still room for a few more exhibits or information or something. The “lesson” was good, but that’s about all there is to the place, other than saying you saw a place where Shakespeare went to school.
