This is a hidden gem - The museum was brilliant! Lots of things to do in there, we were in for a full hour even though it isn’t that big. There are puzzles for the family to solve, clues to find, outfits to try on, fun facts, activities and more. We went on a Saturday in the school half term at about midday and it wasn’t busy at all, which was nice, as it is cosy in there. The staff were amazing, very polite and dressed for the part! I would highly recommend. We also did the ghost tour which was great fun but not for those who don’t like the dark or scary stories!

Great value! - Great tour, excellent value for money. Our ghost - sorry, host - "Mary" was superb, interacting wonderfully with her guests. Quite scary for the youngest children; but many good laughs along the way.

This was great and really scared the young kids - Tudor world is a great attraction, we went with my 5 year old daughter and her 6 and 9 year old cousins. I loved reading about the history of the house itself and the kids got a clipboard to tick off Tudor artefacts. They were really scared by the plague and dungeon bits … which maybe cruelly I found funny

Pre-Christmas joviality! - Such a fun little excursion to do on a short get away for pre Christmas celebrations. Came for Christmas Market and an olde wordly Christmastide but this was our unexpected treat!

RICH HISTORY, AND GHOSTLY EXPERIENCE! HIGHLY RECCOMEND - I went to Tudor world on a ghost tour in October 2023. I had a wonderful time! Tudor world is so interesting and has so much history! Its safe to safe I definately had a ghostly experience. The one room we entered was supposed to be haunted by the ghost of a small pick pocketer girl called Lucy, and as I was standing in the room not near to anyone, something tugged on my jacket, when I looked around there was nobody there. Afterwards, I checked my compact mirror in my handbag and it had smashed. That night, I felt as though there was something following me back to my hotel room. The next day, a tall cloaked shadow walked past my bedroom door and I felt as though it had followed me home. After that... nothing. Definately a most spooky halloween, highly reccomend for a ghostly experience.

Good for a family with children age 7 - 12. - Firstly, the lady at the front desk is absolutely lovely, and without her, I'd probably give it 3 stars. She was engaging, helpful and friendly. The museum is small and interesting, but limited in what it offers. It could do with some real-life actors to bring it to life, but then I guess it would cost more. Our son did a treasure hunt/clue/code breaking, which was fun. Without it, I think he would have found the visit a bit boring. Some attention is needed to the wall-mounted clues, as children have written on some.

Recommend! - We booked for the Thursday but decided that Wednesday would be better so we went to the venue to ask if it would be possible to swap days. The lady at the desk was so friendly and happily let us go inside there and then. She offered us a quiz/activity sheet to complete as we walked round which we happily accepted but we found it so difficult and we gave up. There were so many interactive parts to the museum and lots to read which we found very interesting! I had a go at writing with a quill and my partner had fun smelling all the interactive smells 😂 This was one of the things I was looking forward to on our trip to Stratford and it was very entertaining to walk round

Good to kill a half hour - This was fun, we especially enjoyed the “smells” and the information boards. It did only take us about 40 minutes (dawdling) so be aware of that before paying.

worth a visit - The museum is in the middle of town, the actual building is one of the oldest in stratford so was part of the attraction for me the exhibition inside takes around 45 mins to see and has lots of hands on little areas that would make it ideal for kids to learn without getting bored, it is worth a visit.
